Let me guess - in the meantime he;s not gonna be ready for any of the other world champs at 135 either, and will avoid Mikey Garcia, and Linares.

Hell, I bet he even avoids the second-tier of guys like Flanagan, Crolla, and Luke Campbell.

    Broner 2.0.

Different fighters peak at different times, Davis' handlers think he still hasn't peaked yet neither in popularity nor skillwise, he still has a lot to learn before he steps in there with Lomachenko plus he needs time to build up his name so that when such a dangerous fight takes place, both fighters get compensated well enough because it can be a make it or break it type of fight for both.

Gassiev will probably never be as popular as the American Davis could be, who's already one of the most followed young boxers out there on social media already, they should keep working on promoting him and keeping him more active, he should also try to get a belt first before getting in there will Lomachenko.

the mofo has TWICE as much experience at the pro level as loma does. what more preparation does he need?

imo once u become champ u should be ready for all comers. stop talking about tank like hes a toddler. thats a grown azz man. the mofo is not even allowed to answer questions about loma. ellerbe and floyd always jump in to answer for him.

does he need more "experience" to even answer the questions about loma too? what opponent is out there that will prepare tank for loma? there is none. if hes not good enough now he'll never be. loma is moving up so I guess its time to leave the baby tank alone. he still being treated like he in diapers.
        Great post, top to bottom.

I think Davis should challenge himself. He's ready.
It won't happen this year, anyway.

Hopefully, we get it in 2019 or 2020, if both keep winning.
        You never know.

and of course the "isnt ready" refers to lomochenko.

Vagina Stank Davis needs to drop that belt of he doesn't think he's ready for Lomachenko.

Why is everyone crediting Gassiev? He waited forever compared to Mike Tyson.

guys i hate to break it to you but some people just see boxing as a way to make money. they arent emotionally attached to it in any way. they dont care about proving themselves or any of that nonsense. yes maybe 90 percent of people think hes a coward but the 10 percent that are fans and pay to see him still add up for millions for him. its like trump and america. yes hes a moron but he doesnt try to please the people who hate him.
