I honestly think GGG was head hunting in a effort to make a statement via a KO. Unfortunately for him, I think he started his attack too late in the fight. Had the fight gone on for a few more rounds he probably would have gotten the Ko but 15 round fights are a thing of the past. Nor do I think GGG forgot to go to the body, and yes he had plenty of chances toward the end to lay into Canelo without fear of counters because Canelo was shelling up his head like a turtle. GGG just wanted the KO and failed to get it. I’m anxious to see this rematch and see what adjustments both fighters will make in preparation for this fight. Should be a good one.
it was Canelo's control of distance, using footwork that you guys insisted he did not possess..... that, and his sharp countersComment

Agreed, but why did the big bad wolf not tee off on the lil fat red kid when he was on the ropes? He shouldn’t of went to the ropes? Why not, your opponent isn’t doing anything from stopping you from resting on those ropes... anyone would go to ropes to rest if your opponent isn’t doing anything, but throwing tippy tap stat stuffing patty cake harmless jabs and missing everything else he throws... that’s like sparring lolComment

His sparring gained him points. I know you don't agree but Canelo can't let another guy play with him on the ropes and really not do much in return. It wasn't a good strategy on his part. Like I said in other threads his own corner was telling him to get off the ropes. All G had to do was keep landing those small punches and score points. I know you don't see it that way but there is a reason most fighters, trainers and coaches had Golovkin winning.Comment

Well it’s pretry obviou, you and i and most boxing fans can agree that boxers don’t fear other boxers for the most part, ggg said anyone from 154-168 won’t go twelve with him claimed a hof in Cotto ducked him, a hof in Ward ducked him, he had one ONE significant Win. If we are being honest, i can’t root for a fighter who claims everyone and there mom ducked him and waited till his mid 30’s to fight someone with a pulse in his weight class, also the fact he has never moved up in weight doesn’t sit well with me, but had he fought all the best fighters at 160 from the jump, I wouldn’t be mad at him. The fact he waited till he is 30+ is no bueno amigo. Just my two cents. But everyone ducked him right? PleaseComment

Golovkin was always willing to fight the best, the best competition available just didn't want any. For an overrated fighter, he sure had the rest of the division shook. Now that he's 35 years old and he's been in a couple of competitive fights all the young guns want a piece of him all of a sudden.
People saying Canelo should KO this old man are pretty delusional. They were saying the same thing first time around when Golovkin was considered past his prime. Golovkin has an iron chin. I doubt Canelo damages him unless Golovkin's resistance has somehow miraculously declined. People need to remember, Golovkin was old first time around. He'll be 36 by the time of the rematch. If he has slowed any since then, or Canelo fixes his stamina problems, he can definitely win the fight but by knock out? I have serious doubts about that. Golovkin has never shown any vulnerability as far as his ability to take a punch is concerned.Comment

It baffles me how bias and delusional some fans are who don't even give the "old man" credit when he draws with the much younger, fresher fighter when most people thought Golovkin won the fight.Comment
