[UFC] Floyd at Featherweight

Kimbo was a bum off the street and got 5 MMA wins.
It's all about matchmaking. Can I get at least a 20% and an Amen my brother?
We had an Olympic alternate in our gym, a 118 pounder. Nastiest amateur I ever saw. My trainer would let a kickboxing gym bring their best guys down for sparring and some guys would let them throw kicks. True story.
The 118 pounder was one of those guys. The kid stopped HW's with body shots. Avoiding kicks ain't no thing but a chicken wing. It's about distance. If you have that part of your brain active, the better athlete wins. Floyd is a real athlete.

Are you fuuuckin kidding me?I don't recognize a lot of the names at that weight, but I'm pretty sure Floyd could whip Jose Aldo in an MMA fight.
In 2005 Aldo had his only 2 submission wins. Everything else is decisions and tko/ko's. This is the type of fighter Floyd could be matched up with. A non-ground guy that likes to strike.
Aldo has lost 3 of his last 5 and all of them were by tko (punches).
Get one thing straight, if Floyd does fight in the UFC it won't be against a top fighter like McMaggot.
Who else is out there that's a non-ground specialist in/around that weight?
Aldo fuucks Floyd up in brutal fashion one kick and Floyd runs out the cage.
Someone ban this dumbass troll.Comment

Aldo isnt bad on the ground at all, he just doesnt go to the ground. The guy is a black in BJJ though and always practices it. He even competed in BJJ.I don't recognize a lot of the names at that weight, but I'm pretty sure Floyd could whip Jose Aldo in an MMA fight.

He could easily take floyd down and have his way with him, hes also a very dangerous muai thai fighter on the feet. He could easily shatter floyds leg with one of his signature leg kicks. He has great knees as well. Floyd would have no chance against aldo unless aldo decided he wants to strictly box with him.
Then theres guys like jeremy stephens and frankie edgar. Who could also just take floyd down and wreck him on the ground. All top guys can wrestle.Comment

I think floyd does 1000x better than what half of these bums think but aldo would win. him and floyd are the same size if it were floyd vs someone smaller or older (floyds 40 ffs) I can see him ko'ing one of those glass chin mma brawlersComment

No one.I think Floyd along with Pea is the best boxers in last 30+years but too old to try new game. Also don't think he has best style for crossover. But a boxer will always have a punchers chance(Mercer v Silva)where I don't see how a MMA guy could win a boxing match with a prime top guy in his weight class.my 2 centsI don't recognize a lot of the names at that weight, but I'm pretty sure Floyd could whip Jose Aldo in an MMA fight.

Kicks to the head would not be the best way to get a boxer. There are used to avoiding shots that come from MUCH closer. But those kicks to the legs would be bad news.Quick KO or down u go.But that's still a better chance then a MMA guy trying to win vs a boxer as long as he is not shot or a lot smaller.
