any opponent that was good enough to push stevenson found out real quick that he is not limited to only a left hand..

As for Stevenson. I view him as a guy that was in the right place at the right time and got hold to a shot to hell Dawson. And you’re right, he never seemed to wanna cement his place at the top of the division. I don’t think he was afraid of Kovalev. I simply think financially, Kovalev didn’t bring much more to the table than the softies he was being fed. So why take the risk. As a fan, it sickens me. But I understand it from a business standpoint.
stevenson has had 3 mandatory contenders in a row refuse to fight him...that alone tells you how real he is..ppl who earned their shot dont even want their shot..

he's dropped every opponent that ever entered a ring with him at 175 and u wont be the least bit surprised if he can still say that after the jack fight.

wat is the use of showtime giving us this great fight if u're going to **** here and discredit it? u're basically saying jack is beating a nobody..
if jack stops or decisions stevenson he has a better win than any current champion imo.

why are you so focused on a balance shot? he didnt get up wobbly.

if jack finish this stevenson fight and say "it was only a balance shot" if he gets dropped....HE LIKELY WON THE FIGHT!

jack has a good guard and a good change of level..and when he needs to move his head bc a guy is a real puncher he can.

vs dirrel he moved his head more plut kept his guard tighter...vs degale he just kept his guard up bc degale was slapping and wasnt getting no respect.

Not to mention his speed and ability to land that left at just about any distance is unbelievable. You have to be one your A game from bell to bell to survive that.
fonfara and williams jr made adonis put up his left and fight inside...he hurt them both and did really god work with both hands

his main trick is the best main trick in the business..but his trainer will tell him to adjust and when he he gets the news he does...just listen to sugar hill in this fight..the guy is damn good...jack has the uphill battle from start to finish in this one, but he is a damn beatst..

well u should hold your fighter down more bc he's done hist part as a champion..won his lineage and gave offers to bhop pascal kovalev alvarez and called out ward

pascal kov and alverez have all been his mandatory and decided not to fight him...wtf else should he do..they made their bed...therefore he reigns as lineal king and badou jack gets full credit for taking a fight that ppl wouldnt take!

i'll say it now..bellew can give usyk a fight...usyk is regressing, but that may be too harsh..he's likely just fighting on the front foot way to much and he's not getting any better at it..he's best counter and moving

Usyk would lose against most heavyweights for sure, and has taken several good punches by Briedis last Saturday.

However, I see that more as a demonstration of self-belief than a real "regression". Bellew is not one but two classes below Usyk. Remember how he was almost knocked out by Makabu before stopping him, and Makabu is nowhere near top level. Usyk would play cat and mouse with Bellew, not the least because he's a fighter with a mean streak as opposed to Bellew who's just a generous jerk.

Yes, perhaps "limited" was too harsh an adjective, I agree.

I would have loved seeing Stevenson vs Carl Froch. I think that there was a good possibility of Froch getting knocked out as well in that one.

Stevenson could have had an era. He has not had a mandatory defense of the WBC since 2013 or since Bellew. Not saying that it is his fault, I believe the WBC should be held accountable. Stevenson is a beast but since 2015 he has only fought once a year; Stevenson used to fight 3-4 times a year. He's 40 now and I am not sure if he has much time left in the sport.
