There's no logical reason to have a PED abuser who hasn't fought in over 2 years as lineal, which is why TBRB doesn't and the ring just stripped him.
Yes, but if a fighter has retired then he doesn't qualify. I agree with the decision to strip Fury, but as it still stands he's the man who beat the man and milked that because IMO he didn't have full confidence in himself to beat Klitshcko again and same probably applied for his feelings about a fight with Joshua.

Fury has more of a claim than Lewis for being the current lineal champion because his inactivity is far less and his "retirements" were Twitter retirements and nothing to be taken seriously. Lewis' retirement is solid and I doubt we'll ever see him lace them up again. I think Fury will fight again this year most likely.

Respect to the Ring Magazine 4 making Deontay Wilder the #2heavyweight and making Wilder vs Joshua 4 the lineal

His other wins aren't overly impressive either, he is also a drugs cheat who hid the evidence until after the Vlad fight.
Fury will never be the same when he's back, you can't abuse your body like that then come back the way you were it goes against science.
Why do people excuse Vlad for underestimating Fury, the only person to ever out-point him. Fury told everyone exactly how he’d win the fight and pulled it off.

I agree that he probably can’t come back at the same level but the old Fury would cause AJ problems he’s never faced and to say VK was a better fighter against AJ is ridiculous.

It proves The Wilder-Joshua fight is already planned for the end of the year, we just need to wait now

Lennox retired and never came back, resulting in Wladimir Klitschko (2009–2015; from Ruslan Chagaev win). And Fury beat Klitscko and is coming back still in his prime and undefeated.

Just more evidence how much boxing is run by the dumbest ppl ....well they have the dumbest fans so i guess it goes hand in hand ?

Having the Ring belt wouldn't have anything to do with Wilder , it would have to do with getting the number ONE HW to represent them and thats Joshua .

These clowns might not even see a Wilder vs Joshua fight until 2019 .....if your going to strip Fury of the belt a fight needed to be put in place ,now what ? Hang the belt on a wall?

Fury will end up fighting before that Joshua and Wilder takes place anyway ? So the answer is no champion to have it ? What ******s .

quite surprised they didn’t didn’t make Joshua Parker or Ortiz wilder fights for the lineal. To be honest majority of people consider Joshua #1 heavyweight anyway so would’ve been logical to make Joshua Parker fight for it. If anything it devalues the ring rankings even more by not
                Doing so.

The only thing they could have done worse is let someone be found guilty of drugs, be inactive for 2 years, be stripped of all his other belts many years ago, and be completely unfit / no current state to fight - and only just be considering stripping him.

Still it's nothing new. I was pretty much one of the only people on here who said he would comfortably beat Wlad.
He never beat Wlad, he barely won bore fest, guy is as pathetic as you

I don't recall any worse HW championship fight, Fury made it a pain to watch.

I get what you saying but isn't a fighter retired if he says he retired? Fury did say that quite a few times, so... The Ring magazine should get their stuff straight. Now they gonna wait for AJ vs DW figh that might never happen and till then keep belt on the shelf? Who's in charge there, Jesus.
