No one cares about Povetkin anymore. He is a known cheat. He hasn't had a meaningful fight in years. Even if it happens next, it should have already happened. Povetkin was a top hw. WAS. It is a lot like Ortiz, both looked great, then got popped for peds, didn't look as great, agreed to fight Wilder, again got popped for peds, and now hasn't beat any top hw in years and years. Povetkin and his tema were found liable in a federal court in NY - so if they ever fight in the States, they will have their purses held and forfeited to Wilder (I thought it was BS they ruled for Wilder - discrimination against Russian clearly).

I'd recommend a neutral country like UK - even though they are both foreign fighters to UK, I guarantee fight would still be huge there and MORE lucrative than USA. Wilder is no PPV headliner iN USA, and is worth at most 2.3ish million to headline a Showtime/PBC card.

In Russia, fight would be worth at least 8-11 million, but I doubt Wilder will want to go to Russia.

IN UK I bet the fight could generate 5-8 million.

Ortiz was Joshuas mandatory in another sanctioning body after Pulev , who was his IBF mandatory .

Hearn guaranteed Ortiz a title shot after Pulev , he pulled out and Takam took his place .

Instead of wating for the Joshua / Takam winner , he took off like a fool and went and got a Wilder fight . Except not being the smartest guy again ( hes done handful of things to sabotage his own career ) he couldn't fill out a simple form and got a ban that removed him as a mandatory for Joshua so he missed out on a pay day and further delayed his career.

The information you posted is false. Wilder's $5.2 million was being held in escrow, so there was no way for Povetkin to duck paying. Wilder got his money a long time ago.
