Roberto Duran was also bad, then? He lost to Kirkland Laing. His recent record was also shoddy.
And Floyd hardly got by ODLH. He was 4-2 where one of those he won was a robbery, against Sturm, he was struggling with another two others.
Therefore Floyd is a bad boxer.
I'm not sure how you think this relates to ggg? All these men had completely different career paths than ggg.

This is about ggg not being ready for a guy like Canelo or even Jacobs at age 30, about him not being in his prime. The closest comparisons I can think of are Lewis & Wlad hiring Steward and them taking years to master his teachings, it's really not much different than ggg-Sanchez.

At age 30 he would have been in his physical prime, maybe not technical. You do realize it was only his second fight with Sanchez right?
Are you seriously suggesting that a guy with 350 amateur fights and close to 40 fights is at his prime at 35?

oh JFC tony....i used to think you were playing dumb...but now i realize it wasnt an act

        it was a blanket statement

it covers the last 3-4 years....when golovkins resume was attacked...they would reference hopkins resume and note that golovkin was still young

they said the same just two years ago.....they cited his age and claimed he hadnt taken any damage and usually dominated without getting hit much....so he would be fine going forward and could still make waves for years to come

does that help or make sense? or are you really that dumb to not understand what i meant and have to take everything literally?

        JFC what a gimp

Yes. I'm talking about his prime years as a fighter which I believe is around his current age.

Lewis & Wlad were in their physical prime years when they got starched and hired Steward, became significantly better just like ggg did with Sanchez.

ggg was supposed to dominate Canelo who was fighting his 1st actual middleweight ever, this was supposed to be his coming out party. Suddenly from Sept. to May he's a shot fighter, in a fight his own fans thought he won? I'm not buying it. Even I thought ggg would starch him, instead he could barely touch him.

No just his own fans, 90% of the boxing public believe that GGG won.
Wasn't Canelo supposed to be this new god of boxing?
Instead he lost, according to most people, to a 35 year old man.
Also since Canelo had no difficulty making 164, and had already fought for a mw belt before, and many times at weights above JMW, you are kinda reaching when you say "1st actual middleweight ever".

Some time ago Curt Henning admitted to jerking off to men. Just look it up. It's true, really.

I have to take what you say literally because that's what you said. If it's not correct it's wrong. Your wrong.. Your also wrong when you lump all fans of a fighter together as if they think as one. They don't. If you had issue with what a particular fan said then call him on it at the time. Don't go complaining now about something you should have mentioned earlier. If you didn't that means you agreed with it at the time. Whether a fighter is a young 33 or old 33 there is little arguement that he is generally past his physical peak. Any fan of sports knows that.

                • So what is up with the Golovkin didn't do what he was expected to line of reasoning that is used to justifying the scoring of the fight. He won the fight which is what a fighter is supposed to and got screwed over by the judges in Vegas. Hardly unprecedented.

So if 90% of people thought ggg won, why are people using the excuse that he's suddenly too old in the rematch? Shouldn't they believe he'll beat him a 2nd time?

Canelo never fought a fighter actively fighting at 160, Chavez was actively fighting at LHW, it was a glorified sparring session that served Canelo no purpose. This goes back to what I was saying earlier, you're only as good as the man you beat.

I personally thought Canelo would get killed, he's moved up 3 divisions, he's significantly smaller, he's slow, he couldn't knock out zombie Chavez etc.

its "youre" not "your" tony..and no im not wrong

it wasnt one particular fan...it was many of them....whenever golovkins resume was called into question they would say "well he still has plenty of time ...he hasnt taken punishment...hes still a young(insert whatever age he was at the time it was made)"...or they would reference hopkins...and i would point out what i already said i pointed out...about how hopkins became legendary for what he did later after his MW reign...and theyd say the same thing "who knows he still has plenty of time...maybe he can do what hopkins did...u know golovkin hasnt taken much damage in his fights so he could prob go up and fight for quite a few more years"

you can pretend like it didnt happen or you never saw it...ive seen it many times

now the same guys are preluding a golovkin loss by claiming hes old now

you are a gimp tony....and a golovkin apologist...a leech on the sport
