OK. How would he get $10-15 mil for a joshua fight? Usyk isn't that big a name and te live gates generated at Joshua fights are not that big (as say a big fight in Vegas).

It depends on what you think Usyk's ceiling is

If you think he's good enough to bump with this current crop of heavyweights, you take the chance (I have my doubts).

If you don't think he's good enough, you stay at cruiserweight, K2 looks for a longterm deal with HBO (almost at any price), and Usyk travels the world, fighting his mandatories but getting in at least three times a year.

"Have belts, will travel", in a sense, with HBO committed to air the matinee fights.

The figures are estimates not concrete. I think it could be a big event. I think Pulev was supposed to be getting 5m in GBP so Usyk, if he's able to unify all the titles, win this tournament and be high up on all the p4p lists may generate some buzz especially if Joshua has all the belts then and thus in perhaps even bigger events.

There needs to be a heavyweight division and super heavyweight division to better facilitate cruisers going to a new division because right now it is absolutely unfair.
Please.. fighters were moving up from LHW to HW so why cant he move up from CW ??

How many PPVs did ward Kovalev do? **** all, Ward brings no fans and no money to the table, usyk can make 10 +million in a 90 thousand stadium arena with an AJ fight.

Or he'll jump at the chance to make in or around 1 million to fight Ward in Oakland infront of a half empty arena with paid off judges and officials
so let me get this straight. ward has zero fans but has enough clout to have vegas judges in his pocket? lol.. if usyk beats ward he climbs the P4P ladder. it'll be his best career accomplishment. he'll jump on it asap. fighting AJ is a damn suicide mission. ward is more doable and makes more sense.

Usyk already has the WBC belt that used to belong to Bellew.

Bellew was downgraded to champion emeritus when he decided to rematch Haye instead of fighting his mando, Breidis. Breidis won the vacant WBC belt vs Huck and just lost it to Usyk.

Roc Nation money bought those 2 Vegas "wins" for Ward.

Unless he can find another promoter as rich, ****** and corrupt as Roc, Ward is done.

ok so we're throwing out accusations with no proof.

lets go back to 2010 when kovalev faced boone in his hometown of atlanta GA. kovalev was knocked down (some say twice) but was given a split decision victory. the foreigner russian getting a close win against the hometown american fighter? where were these russian hating american judges then? did klimas have the judges paid off? did kovalevs team go on a mission to destroy all footage and delete all pictures of the fight? because you can google all day and theres not even a highlight of the fight available.

now thats a conspiracy theory for you..

There would have been no footage of Kovalev vs Boone to remove because the fight wasn't even televised. And how is it connected with Ward/Kovalev?

A rematch with Breidis would be a good event that would pack the house in Eastern Europe and as close as it was, it's definitely justified.
