At the Olympics, you have to fight one day and again just one or two days later again. There is no getting down to weight. The weight you walk around at is the weight you fight at. I imagine Spence walks around well above 152 nowadays, as does every other welterweight. Same day weigh ins, and at 152 no one has any chance against Spence. No one. He would be even more dominant than he is now. And that is hard to imagine. So, yea, lets see Thurman-Spence at 152 with same day weigh in. Spence would be an even bigger favorite than with day before weigh in, at 147.

I get it, you hate Spence, because you have never seen anyone half as good. It's alright, when you are so much better than everyone else is, like Spence currently is, than you get plenty of haters.

Hate on all you want, but don't expect your hate to slow down Spence.

Who's talking about hate here I just said he needs to fight at his natural weight and yes I think he would clean out 154 as he doing with 147. I'm just responding to a thread about his weight and thats my opinion and everyone is entitled to one so don't get so butt hurt

why should he hand Spence any type of advantage, for any type of reason?

because the fans want him to ?

the turds who threw Cotto/Canelo under a bus, simply because they would not make it easy for Golovkin by handing him the world on a platter..... are muppets
What advantage? He dosen't need a whole year to fight spence. If that's the case why is he willing to fight garcia or porter before the year is over?

Spence fans are being ridiculous if they think anyone would/should, hand him an advantage..... just like the Golovkin fans were ridiculous thinking that SUPERSTARS should hand Golovkin the world, when he clearly had not paid his dues

especially Spence, of all people..... who is legit, and more than capable of making his own way without hype/bullshht
Stop the bs. If he fights garcia he'll be 100 percent. You're telling me he's gonna fight garcia at 60 percent? Golovkin actually was and is willing to fight anyone in his weight class to unify. Thurman wants no part of spence and is prolonging the beating.

Ridiculous analogy with golovkin. Golovkin had 2 of the main belts and was the top ticket seller in the states next to canelo. He was already a star.

Spence thurman is a unification fight. Thurman isn't a bigger draw than spence.

I think his plan is to get Crawford a belt and offer the fight to the highest bidder bw bud and Errol. Also make it like suspenseful to see who’s best

                really ?

because..... Spence is a much tougher opponent

Thurman will be much better off having a tuneup, and then either Garcia or Porter, before facing Spence

The fact that we have people like this so called "journalist" Andrea or whatever his name is, making excuses for a top guy to NOT fight another top guy is bizarre. In fact, it is one of this sport's biggest problems, that the people who are supposed to uphold its integrity and push for the right thing to happen, are hoping for the wrong thing to happen, just so they can keep supporting their favourites.

It's a sorry, pathetic piece, worthy of Fitzsimmons and Rold, two of the worst writers on here.

There shouldn't be any excuse, beyond possibly one so called tune up. This is plain cowardice.

Explain what you mean by much better off? Apart from growing a pair of balls.

Why should the 2 leading champions not fight each other asap? There is no boxing or logical answer to that beyond "Thurman is scared". It really is simple as that. If one is that scared, give up your damn titles and fight in the lower leagues. No one would be pissed off.

If one is a champion, he must fight other champions.

the injury excuse isn't even an excuse. He has been away for 10 months. That is enough time to have your operation and recuperate. By the time he does return, he would have been out of the ring for 15 months...you're telling me he still needs to recuperate from that?

heck, a 50+ year old Tom Cruise just returned from a broken ankle to finish filming numerous stunts for his latest movie. Thats a damn middle aged actor. Thurman's an athlete.

fans like you are facilitating the destruction of the sport.
