floyd never ducked anyone. theres always mroe than one road and floyd chooses the one that he seems best for him and his family. not always what some of the fans want to see. if it makes dollers it makes sense. cant pay bills with legacy. floyd would have smashed manny at 135 but i still feel he will do the same now

Even the Die hard Floyd fans can see something wrong with this..
The article couldn't have been from 2006. Floyd said he'd come down to 135. In 2006 he was set to fight Zab Judah for The Ring WW title. There's no way he'd come down from 147 to 135. It had to have been from 2005.

And there's absolutely nothing wrong with meeting Pacquiao half way. They'd both perform just as good at 135 at that point, unless Floyd had trouble draining to 135. But Pacquiao definitely wouldn't struggle to gain 5lbs. At one point he was even struggling to make 130 (unless that was an excuse to why he did poor against JMM).

The haters would've called out Floyd if he fought Pacquiao at 135 because they would've called him out for fighting a smaller guy and making him move up to 135.

Talk about picking on smaller fighters..

Didn't Pacquiao at one point have trouble making 135?

The way some Pacquiao fans explain it at the least is that he's been draining weight for a very long time, which explains his explosive power at Welter Weight.

I read this article and people praising Floyd for this is ridiculous. Floyd is notorious for saying people's name with little to no substance behind his actual words e.g. Casamayor, Hamed and others

Some people need to "smarten up" and realize that in 06 pac had just barely moved up to 130 while Floyd was a welterweight already. Talk about cherry picking at its finest...lol

Even if you want to say this was from 05...that makes it even worse because Pac had been at 126 and had just moved up to fight Morales and lost badly? So for those "stroking their ****s" to this article need to realize how foolish it is to take Floyd's statements back then serious.

naah the only times I heard of weight issues were at 130. He had moved up to 135 and after that DLH fight happened. If there was any issues making 135 he would have skipped it....similar to how he skipped 115 and 118 back n the day.

its pretty interesting that when floyd thought pac was smaller than him, he wanted to fight pac, but when pac started wrecking WWs, floyd started accusing pac of PEDs.

I wouldn't have watched it coz it will be a dirty fight. Mayweather back then didn't demand OST. I only watch clean fights like the one coming on May 1.
