Alvarez gets the next crack. Then Gvozdyk. If Alvarez steps aside again, I expect him to lose his mandatory position.

The 'PBC' promoters might as well have their own belts, like the old wrestling territories ran it. Fighters like Thurman, Adonis, Russell Jr, Wilder, should not be holding anything but PBC titles.
Well, the WBC will just take the belt away, and those PBC fighters may fight whoever they like after that.

The "if-train" has gone, sorry! And Alvarez has sold his chance.

Well, he will be the mandatory anyway, it seems he likes that position very much.

He may not be losing his position, but Sulaiman is acting like Alvarez won't fight the Stevenson-Jack winner next

Moro is being purposely vague because he's between a rock and a hard place and doesn't want to commit to anything until he sees who wins these upcoming fights.

It's not like Michel is swimming in world champions. He needed to do everything possible to protect his champion and potential champion.

Now, if Jack wins, Michel knows Alvarez is getting a crack. Much better situation than had he rushed Stevenson-Alvarez.

I doubt Gvozdyk gets a shot at it. Talk of WBSS being at 175, Haymon will draw it out, Gvozdyk gets left with the same choice Callum Smith had.

The WBC just makes up the rules as it goes along. To suit the convenience of the moment and to appease the promoters with the most money.

That's why I like the IBF's current approach. Make a rule book, be transparent with it, and force everyone to play by those rules at all times.

                  Simple but honest.
