Im glad since all the expert boxingscene bloggers were so concerned with gvozdky getting his title shot. Everyone in the division is supposedly scared of him and bivol lolComment

Alvarez will block that from happening.
What is crazy is that Yvon Michel is able to get Stevenson-Jack done because Stevenson wanted it but he can't get two of his own fighters to fight each other...and now Alvarez may end up losing his position because of itComment

Stevenson-Alvarez becomes a bigger and bigger fight there more time there is to expose Alvarez to the public. Beating Bute and Pascal made Alvarez a far more known commodity than when he first gained the #1 ranking.
Michel was never in a rush to get to Stevenson-Alvarez because Alvarez is the future and hadn't peaked yet and Stevenson still had a few good years left. The fight makes way more sense when it's time for Stevenson to pass the torch to Alvarez instead of doing the fight years ago when it wouldn't have been a big money fight.
Michel knows exactly what he's doing and the WBC has already confirmed that Alvarez is not losing his position.Comment

peaked commercially. he's 7 years younger than alvarez. you have to think the way a promoter thinks. you squeeze as much juice out of stevenson as you can and then you have him lose to the younger guy.
three years ago, not only did michel believe alvarez would lose, but it wasn't even a big money fight. what was the point?
alvarez has a better chance of winning as stevenson slows down and an alvarez victory is michel's preference.Comment

Gvozdyk can def beat Jack if he comes out this fight the winner, however no way he beats stevenson if stevenson puts on a good performance. he is chinny and no way i see him surviving stevensons power.Comment
