      • THis is about money. Ward has probably decided that he’s never gonna fight for anything less than what he’s fought for in the past. So heavyweight seems to be the only option.

Usyk has to travel because he isn't a draw.

Ward was paid $7million plus PPV share for his last fight, Kovalev got a PPV share only, and the fight sold only 130k.

Even if Ward found another inept promoter like Roc, with deep pockets and no knowledge of boxing, who would give him another ****** guarantee, how would that benefit his opponent?

There is no big money for the opponent fighting Ward in America, because Ward himself is not a draw. And, as has been pointed out, Usyk would get little credit for beating him.

There's more money than Usyk is making and a win would also improve his marketability. I guarantee Usyk would take that fight.

The same morons that said Rigo wouldn't benefit Loma, but it did great numbers.

              • With all due respect he by his own admission was struggling to get down into the 170's. That shhh takes it's toll, sounds though like he's been active in the gym which has kept him around his walk around weight but more so based on muscle now. He wasn't going to be able to continue making 175 and would probably only do so once or twice more for the right money.

I can't see Ward getting another PPV fight vs another unknown East Euro after the poor numbers vs Kovalev.

Without US PPVs, Usyk would make more money fighting Ward in Europe than in the States, and we know Ward wouldn't even consider travelling for him.
