Wow so that means they actually make £30mil for the gate instead of £10mil... This proves AJ is the biggest boxer on the planet by far. AJ is a walking money machine and StubHub is laughing to the bank... people are probably willing to pay 8 times the normal ticket price. This guys is on another level.

The tickets are brought by the ticketing agencies, then sold for double or in AJ case triple or quadruple the normal face value. It’s sad when the real boxing fans are pushed out like this.

This is why Wilder needs to STFU. He is NOT a draw. He fights in Alabama in front of a few people while Joshua sells stadiums.

When Canelo fought Smith and Kirkland in those outdoor events, they were selling tickets on the day for $10. For a 70,000 capacity venue like this where AJ is fighting, you would have to think a good 50,000 of those seats are in the stands, far away, not on the floor.

And then the main difference is the more expensive seats are not nearly as expensive as you would pay for a big fight in Vegas i think.

I think there would be too much of a backlash if the prices were raised too much. Same reason Hearn said they won't break the £20 barrier for Sky PPV, it would get to a stage where people won't pay anymore and they lose money despite the higher price. I doubt they will stick to it though, they are creeping the prices up slowly..
Yep this. You can't charge people $300 for seats in the tiers where you can barely see the ring let alone the fighters.

As for Vegas those tickets will always be higher in price than anywhere else. A lot of high rollers will come for the fights and the ******** and so they can charge a lot of money for the best tickets. Nobody is going to pay $5K just for a fight in Cardiff and then go home. Vegas has far more going for it than just the fight, people will attend the fight but also do others things while there and so stay for a weekend or longer.

He could sell 100,000 tickets yet still not make as much money as big fights do in Las Vegas.

Wildher wishes he was this popular. With that ****ty personality and lack of any real competition he can only blame himself. His lil fan boys can make all the excuses they want but 70,000 is very impressive. Wildher would have to fight 7 times just to draw that many people.

There is no question that AJ sells tickets in the UK. Heck the fight in the UK makes sense because of him. But the bottom line is that this is the time these two guys got to face each other.

Wilder can talk all he wants but if the fight is seriously offered the amount of money that he is going to get he will cave in and take less of purse

Agreed and this comes from 'official' sites !....As I see it, as it stands it's just 'legal' ticket touting and as you rightly say makes it a nightmare for real fans.

Funny that a lot of folks in here swear Wilder is the bigger draw. Raggamuffin says Wilder sells more tickets and Joshua's shows never sell out lmao.
