Could it be that when you fight 36 bums you get no respect

824k for the stiverne rematch fam? That is an okay number wouldn't call it very strong. It is a shame that Stiverne was the mandatory but that is a different story fam.

Because boxing as a sport is pretty nonexistent to the mainstream.

I enjoy watching the Windmill of Doom fight. His fights are exciting and entertaining. If I want to watch skillful boxing there are other boxers who can show me that. He has KOed everyone he ever fought so how dull could he be? He has a long strong left jab and a lights out blistering straight right on those rare occasions when he throws it straight.

If he's the most popular American heavyweight in decades, what logic is there in blaming his "style" for his "lack of popularity?"

Maybe heavyweight boxing just isn't that popular in the US?

Are you really claiming Wilder's fights are more boring than the Klitschko era?!?

Entertainment is subjective. But I find the Klitschkos far more entertaining and both have a bigger fanbase globally than Wilder. Wilder isn't as popular globally.

Also, once the sport of boxing became global, Americans became less dominant and that's when American fans gradually decreased.

Wilder fought an opponent NOBODY wanted to see him against and it was still the second highest rated Showtime fight of the year. How is that not strong?

The fight peaked at 900,000 viewers according to Nielsen, but that doesn't tell the whole story.

Unlike HBO, Showtime allows their fights to be watched live on their app, even though it will harm the publicly announced Nielsen number. Unlike HBO, Showtime allows a late night replay, even though it will harm the publicly announced Nielsen number. Unlike HBO, Showtime quickly makes the fights available on demand, even though it will harm the publicly announced Nielsen number. Unlike HBO, Showtime makes the entire event available on demand, even though it will harm the publicly announced Nielsen number.

People wonder why Showtime boxing ratings are down across the board and they don't realize it's because Showtime has embraced new technology and makes it as convenient as possible for their viewers to watch in a variety of ways, even though it will harm the publicly announced Nielsen number. HBO does everything possible to preserve that number, to the detriment of their subscribers.

PBC is the name of a television series. I do not work for Haymon Boxing (nor do I work for PBC for that matter).

But even if I did, the facts still exposed your position as faulty. Which is why you didn't address any of the points made in my last post and completely changed the subject.

You should have just been a man and admitted you were wrong.

If you're looking for full disclosure. I have worked for Showtime. I have worked for promoters hired by Haymon Boxing to promote events, but it's been over a year since I've worked for either.

So it's in your best interest not to burn any bridges on here. Like I said. You should recuse yourself from any PBC/Haymon/Showtime discussions.
