According to the Livestrong article, "According to Altitude.org, the live high, train low approach has been shown to improve performance in athletic events lasting between eight and 20 minutes." How would this help GGG train for a 12-round fight?

Hell we have fighters in their late 20s right now in the sport who are past it. He's put more mileage on his body as an amateur than most fighters have with their amateur and pro careers combined. I can digest a lot of the criticism hurled at him but the age thing is real and it has to be accepted as a fact of life. Athletes degrade fast a fk in their 30s with a few exceptions.
Yes I agree with the way fighters age and are out of prime but it seems like that is only for certain fighters.

I'm sure Oscar and B-Hop are well-aware of this! In fact, they're counting on it!

He doesn't live high and train low. During a camp he is living high and training high. According to the research that only improves performance at high altitude and can have a negative effect on some athletes performance at normal altitudes.

I understand that live high and training high is not good (i.e. muscle mass) but the article states that live high, train low, is beneficial for events between 8-20 minutes. 12 rounds is 36 minutes.

Has anyone looked at the median altitude of Khazikstan (sorry if misspelled) and compared it to sea level or Big Bear for that matter? Much like the native inhabitants of the mountainous Peruvian region of South America or the peoples of the Himalayan mountain ranges of Asia that have developed an adaptive high altitude tolerance over the course of generations, maybe Golovkin possesses similar traits due to his heritage. Who the hell really knows. But so far, training in BB has worked for him and it is at his comfort level. And he is still undefeated. So something seems to be working for him. Sometimes it is best not to upset the apple cart as they say.

So is Tom with GGG promotions or with K2 promotions? And is GGG under K2 banner or is he with his own company?
