To be honest, I would rather see GGG vs. BJS at this point, only because I would like to see Canelo vs. Jacobs, more than Canelo vs. GGG II. My only problem is GGG's age. I think it would be unfair to GGG to delay the fight, because GGG is obvious slowing down. Brook showed cracks, Jacobs showed fractures, and then Canelo showed holes. Then again, another side of me says, "Why not become the undisputed, undefeated, unified Middleweight Champion of the World?" Why not BJS next, and then Canelo in September?

Guys like Ward, Jacobs, Floyd, etc all train in altitude chambers I believe for specific amounts of time, but then sleep at sea level so that the oxygen is in the air to repair their muscles. That seems to work much better for maintaining speed as you age than living in altitude for months where your muscles can't recover at night because there's not enough oxygen in the air.

I really don't understand it. With all the modern tech available, why is Abel still having his guys sleep at altitude? Either live at sea level and have them train in an altitude chamber during the day, or live at altitude but give them a "sea level chamber" to sleep in at night. But to have them at altitude 24/7 is hurting their bodies because the workouts during the day break up the muscle tissues, but then there isn't enough oxygen in the air at night for those muscle tissues to fully repair themselves, so over time, the most explosive deep thin muscle fibers are worn down and destroyed, which causes your speed explosiveness AND power ALL to decline with age much quicker than normal. Why hasn't GGG's team made the adjustment to this yet? It's basically already too late, they needed to make it years ago to avoid wasting his prime, but you'd think after THREE bad performances in a row, by his standard, they would at least FINALLY try something different??? But I haven't seen any indications that they will!
I didn't know there were negative effects of altitude training, but what you are saying here is correct.

Funny once ggg started fighting people with pulses his age becomes such a huge factor now. No one cared about floyd old money mayweathers age when it came to opponents.

I want to see a knock out this time around and I think it will happen because canelo was being called out for running and I think he will engage more and ggg looked shook in the early rounds but I think he will be more confident this time so something will happen I suppose.

                Be serious.

Ca$hnelo won the first fight (and it wasn't even all that close) and MarGGGarita is running her mouth about other fighters...she wants no part of the Mexican Stallion - CA$HNELO.
IMHO, GGG won no doubt, he is champion Canela didn't make enough to win the belts, corrupt judges, poor stamina, not a real Mexican style. Lucky got the draw. Canela won't be rescued in the rematch. 100% Guaranteed!

I'd rather see either guy fight Saunders or Charlo. Don't care about all these guys crying to the media. We already been through all that.

LOEFFLER is oscars b.itch... now he also is suggesting that all that needs to happen is for ggg to come back and accept the terms. Does Kazakhstan not have phones or internet access? They can’t call or email him to see if he “accepts” this fight is set up to have ggg say no lol

Because with his fight style, the amount of rounds he's put in as both an amateur and pro, and his age the piper has to come collect it's youth someday and for most fighters that starts on the early side of the 30s. Hell we have fighters in their late 20s right now in the sport who are past it. He's put more mileage on his body as an amateur than most fighters have with their amateur and pro careers combined. I can digest a lot of the criticism hurled at him but the age thing is real and it has to be accepted as a fact of life. Athletes degrade fast a fk in their 30s with a few exceptions.
