  • Comments Thread For: Wilder: No Doubt I'll KO Ortiz, Joshua-Parker Will Be a Long Fight

WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder (39-0, 38 KOs) is still crossing his fingers that by the end of the year he will face the winner of the upcoming unification WBA, IBO, IBF heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua (20-0, 20 KOs) and WBO heavyweight champion Joseph Parker. Parker and Joshua finalized a deal to collide on March 31 at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales.

I think Wilder is going to take his time. He'd be a fool not to. Ortiz isn't a guy you carelessly pressure. Not if you want to stay upright.

This guy is so fookin pathetic. I don't even read the articles he's quoted in, the headline is way more than enough for me. He really sounds like 6'7" Adrien Boner. What a tool Windy is. I hope Ortiz blazes him out. He needs it. Humility can be a great thing.

He's better than Wilder. Never mistake KO power for skill. When you fight blown up Cruisers and one stoned, out of weight lazy Haitian if you don't KO them you are in real trouble. Ortiz gives him a beat down.

I hope both guys KO their opponents so the mega fight between AJ and Wilder has more momentum coming off their KO finishes.. but I agree with Wilder, Parker will go long and AJ will school him for a UD.

Hope Wilder handles this business. Ortiz is a good match, but I do not get why there is so much HATE for Wilder. I get CRITICISM. I think he is a flawed, borderline overconfident fighter that loses control in the ring and allows himself to be hit by some very B-level fighters. But, sweet mother of all that is Holy, the dude is an exciting fighter. He has a great killer instinct, is quick and fleet footed in the ring and comes to throw leather. He showed when he fought Stiverne the first time he CAN be a decent boxer, working behind a jab. He just hasn't shown it since. I was really on the Ortiz bandwagon a couple years back, and truly thought he was going to be the next huge star. Now, I think he is slow and limited, and that Wilder peppers him and controls this thing. Would I be shocked if he goes all emotional in the ring, leaves himself open and Ortiz sends him into the third row to end this? Nope, not at all. But I just don't think it happens.

Your kidding right? If "fans" want to see long and drawn out fights, the 130 lb and lower divisions would be money makers, as those men and women go to war for 12 full rounds. But, they aren't.

Ever hear of Mike Tyson? Want to know why he was THE HW star well past his prime? He KO'd some people hard, and that was what people want.

The best thing that could happen to the HW division is Joshua and Wilder knocking their opponents cold early. That would make the fans stoked for their fight.

Criticize (HATE) him all you want to.

Manufacture any "justification" you can conjure up, that makes you happy.

He is not even supposed to have an opinion about other fights or fighters.

Heck you do not even need a reason. Feel free to HATE.

                    ....but Wilder is LEGIT!

Nothing you can do about it.

                    Simple. End of story.

                    The man is LEGIT!!
