Then why was Top Rank talking about a 130 lb unification straight after the Rigo fight?
So what's next for WBO super featherweight titlist, Vasyl Lomachneko, who made Guillermo Rigondeaux submit in six rounds this past weekend at the Theater of MSG

Robert Garcia says that “I think with Loma it’s more about when will they be ready to fight Mikey, not [when] Mikey [is] ready to fight Loma.” From what I see there is every reason to believe him.

The guy turned pro at 24. At 24 Mickey was already the WBO champ. He’s been fighting grown men since he was 19 yrs old. Why did loma choose to stay in the amateur for so long? Most boxers turn pro after one Olympic run not 2. Who knows what his record would’ve been if he turned pro after his first Olympic run. But he didn’t.

He was green cuz he decided to turn pro at 24 years of age. It’s not like he was 19 yo. Instead of turning pro after his first Olympic run he decided to take 4 extra years to hone his boxing skills before turning pro. So this loma was green bs is irrelevant. He was a grown as man and got beat by an old man.

Mikeys been in the ring with some tough names in the amateurs and sparring inc Crawford,Valero,Pac and regardless of it being gym works thats some great experience to have while growing up

I think he will be a tough fight for lomachenko in future Mikey certainly wont get dominated imo

He's going to keep growing just to spite Loma. He knows Loma likes them small.

I love Lomachenko and it will definitely be a good fight but Mikey quitting against Lomachenko is impossible...it will never happen

Seems a lot of boxing "fans" are more interested in who's ducking who then who's fighting who these days and the truth is seldom used it's more who they like more or who they dislike such as the standard of Boxing fans got so low.

Mikey is on his 3rd fight at 140 (2nd in a row) and turned down two title options at 135 to pursue a fight at 140. He has also essentially put up a wall between him and Top Rank (Arum has said he'd work with Mikey both guys words aren't that good but should be treated equally) meaning it's not a fight that we can click our fingers and see. In addition to that he said he'd only fight on Showtime. So the blame game can't always be on the fighter one dislikes. I'd say with those demands it's on Mikey to come up with the financial packet to make the fight.

Lomachenko will move up this year that's about 100%. There's no rush. All the champions have signed fights and won't be available until the summer time so it's probably worth being patient. After all, Lomachenko has only had 5 fights at 130 and could still make 126.

Wasn’t it you that had a Lomachenko stats pic next to a John Molina stats pic and comparing them thinking that was Mickey Garcia?
