Didn't you see another Mickey article yesterday saying Linares is his last fight at 135?
It's not even about willingness to, but follow orders from WXYX.
Has nothing to do with Loma's readyness.
Mickey wants to stay at 140 and want no part of 135, end of story.

True! But that was for the WBC Belt. Which doesn't even have Linares ranked.

Linares is ranked by the WBA. 2 ways Loma can get that fight. Beat the Champ Machado and become the 130 Champion which leads to the WBA 135 Mandatory if he wants. Or beat Linares directly.

Remember Canelo beat Liam Smith at 154 and they said if he wants he can be Saunders Mandatory right away.

I don't know for sure if the WBA has that rule like the WBO for sure though??? Either way Linares/Loma would be a good fight. Just like Linares/Mikey is.
