I don't see any way he could match that against BJS in the UK, even if Sky screened it PPV as well as BT. One problem is that Bill is not yet a household name over here, which is why he went to Canada for Lemieux. His profile is about equivalent to Kell Brook's, pre Golovkin. Not a "stadium draw", in other words
Him and Brook sold out an entire arena for that circus last minute act of a fight Hearn decided to make when Eubank backed out of the fight. For a unification in the UK I think between sponsors, ppv's, and tv rights they make that much if not more. Just my opinion but who knows.

I didn't view GGG vs Brook as a circus act, nor did most fans in the UK. It was last minute, but Eubank's "will he won't he" saga got a hell of a lot of press coverage, and GGG/Brook benifited from it.

BJS was ready to fight GGG in Kazakhstan for 5million - don't remember if it was ££ or $$ - guaranteed, with GGG expected to make around double that.

I don't think the fight would make any more in the UK than it would have made in Astana, which was awash with visitors and investment money because of Expo 2017.

I respectfully disagree because at the time BJS looked like a sure win for Golovkin but now with his recent performance there is some doubt of it being an easy night. Between curiosity the abundancy of GGG haters and those two fan bases I think there is a ton of money to be made but hey we could both be wrong. It's boxing, I usually don't discuss the business side of it because after seeing a friend be a promoter on a small scale the sheer amount of inbound and outbound cash is astounding so what's left on a fight of this scale is anyone in the public's guess.

The problem is that only dedicated boxing fans know what an intriguing fight GGG vs BJS would be, and dedicated boxing fans don't generate $20million purses. You need Joe Public, who DKSAB, to generate that kind of dosh.

Or Jose Public, on a Mexican holiday weekend!
