The WBA are a bunch of S C U M BAGS, I was not happy with the way Rigo decided not to continue fighting with Loma, even tho Loma himself stated that the win over Rigo wasn't something to brag about since he acknowledge that Rigo went up 2 divisions & was too small for the division they fought at, but Rigo did things right by requesting permision & yet it was granted but he had to win in order to keep a title he wasn't even defending..& now they went on to strip him..WBA just like the other organisms are a bunch of leeches..

WBA had ali raymi [yes, that ali raymi,] in their top 10 for weeks after he was declared dead by his manager

normally i wouldn't be laughing at a dead fighter, but i don't think raymi really existed after looking into it. he was a person. he fought a couple of times in what looked like ahigh school arena, but i think his record and mysterious death was a fabrication and that he was basically a mirage.

they've done this to worthy and deserving world champions in the past. in rigondeaux's case i don't thin khe deserves to ever make six figures or fight for a world title again unless he seriously rebuilds and gets wins. given his given age, and the probability that he's older than he says he is like a lot of cuban athletes, i don't have a ton of beef witht he WBA on this one. that guy is no longer a champion to me. didn't act like it in the biggest fight of his career. yeah, it was 2 weights, but lomachenko was a 126 lber two years ago and really isn't a big guy. 8 lbs. it's been done and it will be done again. you have to show up to fight to have a chance to win, and you can.

FFS the guy didn't even throw punches, ducked below his opponents' beltline like an amateur kid, and quit with a broken hand that he never threw .
i'm not sure he knew which hand was broken.

Clottey had five more fights after Manny, although it took him over a year and a half to fight again.

Yeah, I don’t think anyone would be interested in having their fighter matched with Rigo if no belt is to be gained. Hell, Rigondeaux had a bitch of a time finding opponents when he did have a belt.

So how do you maintain one governing body when the promoters don't want there to be one governing body? Promoters want world titles because networks want world titles. You have to please multiple networks in the US, UK, Germany, Japan, etc. If a promoter couldn't get enough titles from the "one" body, he'd just get them elsewhere.
well rigo has a promoter who I'm sure didn't like its fighter getting stripped, not all promoters support these alphabet orgs..canelo has a promoter..who I'm sure didn't like it when his fighter was being forced to fight another champion, not all promoters are supportive of their fighters who are champs in their divisions having other champions representing the same organisations like the 'regulars' 'interims' ..just to name a few..it comes back to sting them..besides us real boxing fans, writers know the real belts which is why those belts aren't recognised anyways..fake belts still make there way to t.v and are competed for regardless..Alexander povetkin just fought Christian hammer for the 'wba and wbo intercontinental title'?? in a main event fight on a top russian network..so the point you made i believe is baseless

What a shame he didn't lose at that weight class, people need to say **** these belts and create their own with union dues

should have took that risk earlier on in his career. he would have been able to bounce back.

Hopefully Rigo has a backup career in the works... his boxing career is over. I don't think there's any rebounding at this point.
