i aint even here trying to argue "so and so is this and that"

but when floyd fought canelo it was canelo who previously said "i will go to 150 to fight floyd"...and floyd even gave him an extra 2....but it was an advantage because floyd felt like canelo was struggling to cut....and floyd even tried to get a rehydration clause which canelo rejected and floyd said "whatever fug it"

two years ago when canelo was 25 and still fighting Jr mws and WWs.....when did ggg ever offer to meet him under 160? he didnt.....he then sat a presser for the brook fight last year and said "i can make 154 but who? who will fight me"?

yet you refused to even try to negotiate with cotto or canelo at a CW? doesnt add up

floyd took canelos word...and gave him an extra 2lbs.....golovkin refused to even try to negotiate a CW and then a year later said "154 but who will fight me"?

in comparison what are most other 25 year olds doing in boxing? how many other guys in the sport had canelos type of resume at 25?

hell ggg is 35 and his resume still isnt as good as canelos 2 years ago lol
Well Cutthroat and other posters (not saying you) were specifically saying Canelo is still not prime at "27" and he won't be until he's 29/30, which is total BS. That's just an excuse because Canelo didn't go as good against they thought he would against GGG.

As for what you're saying, 25 is not a kid. Even in boxing terms considering Canelo's 10 years of pro experience and multiple world titles. And fighting at the highest level (Floyd).

I do remember that thread you made referring to Canelo as a kid, but vaguely. Were you trying to say that Golovkin should pick on someone his own age?

Or were you trying to say that at 25, Canelo was more proven than anyone at his age, so he had the right to cherry pick easy money fights while avoiding Golovkin?

Not trying to put words in your mouth, I just don't see the point you're trying to make by referring to Canelo as a kid.

my point is that canelo was 25 two years ago....ggg fans have been claiming that canelo ducked him for two years and waited him to get old

but take a look at it without ggg in the equation.....canelo was 25...a star....already had a decent resume and HADNT been fighting MWs yet

so he tookt the opportunity to make a ton of money fighting cotto, khan and chavez....and still gave ggg his fight......

so all this complaining that canelo is a chicken and he waited things out makes 0 sense.....if its ok for ggg to duck ward to wait for canelo its ok for a 25 year old to make a bunch of money and give ggg his fight on "canelo time"

canelo should have never been under any pressure to fight golovkin two years ago.....people need to understand canelos age was relevant in the situation.....canelo is still really just a kid with alot of time left in boxing if he so chooses........

people just wanted him to fight ggg sooner because they thought ggg would squash him and it would be some great win for ggg....it was agenda driven...if you step back and look at this without bias you will see canelo executed things perfectly and did things the smart way.......he had no reason to rush things for golovkins sake

Has any other champ had this happen?
Dominic Wade never fought below 161 before he fought Golovkin but was mandatory for a MW title. Would you say he wasn't a MW?

                Willy...basic point

if you switched golovkin and canelo golovkins fans would have been saying "why would golovkin fight him now?" and make every excuse for why it made sense to avoid canelo for two years...theyd say "and golovkin gave him his fight so why are you all still crying"?

i think deep down if we put fanboyism aside and look at things...canelo did nothing wrong....some guys are still upset and bewildered as to how golovkin didnt murder canelo like they thought he would

golovkin was given a pass by fans to avoid ward and fight dom wade and kell brook...he was given this pass by the media as well as no one questioned it....

but when canelo made boatloads of money fighting khan, cotto and chavez and then STILL gave golovkin his fight? he was somehow some fairy pansy with no balls

Pacquiao hasn't fought below WW for 9 years but his fans still claim he isn't a WW.

Yes, he wasn't a middleweight, and I'm not sure how or why he was a mando. I noticed his weights once when I checked boxrec and thought that then
