what was informative about a guy posting multiple articles from different time periods and trying to muddy and confuse the sequence of events? floyd turned down marg for 7 million and fought sharmba for 4. nothing changes that. hbo not wanting to show margarito vs manuel gomez proves floyd didn't duck? is it really that easy to trick you?

YES! I don't know how else I can say it to you. Why do you think they helped Floyd get out of his contract with Top Rank? It's not rocket science. They most likely wanted the fights that Arum was blocking.

use your fvkcing brain. WHy would they help him out of the contract with Arum and at the same time want the Margarito fight?

Are you slow or what? Jesus Christ. The Margarito Gomez fight was signed and pushed back to 1.5 months before Mayweather/Judah. Floyd had the Goosen promoted fight and then the Judah fight. The point is Margarito was pushed to the side because no one gave a shlt about him at that time. Arum didn't even push for Margarito over Judah, and we know this because he was looking to make the fight with Judah immediately when Floyd returned to Top Rank and even reworked it with Don King after Judah lost, while he rescheduled Margarito for 1.5 months before the Judah fight was to happen.

No. You just are very slow. ONE MORE TIME, HBO AND MAYWEATHER BOTH WANTED MAYWEATHER FREE OF ARUM! THEY BROKE THE CONTRACT TO GET THE MONEY THEY WERE ASKING FOR FOR FUTURE FIGHTS. THEY COULDN'T HAVE BROKE THE CONTRACT AND STILL FOUGHT MARGARITO, FOOLIO. THIS IS NOT ROCKET SCIENCE. HOW WERE THEY GOING TO FIGHT MARGARITO AND HAVE IT PROMOTED BY GOOSEN TUTOR?

Breaking the contract was probably the best move Mayweather made in his entire career....and you are sitting here trying to criticize it. That's beyond ******ed. He obviously wanted to break it even before he legally could, and that's why he had to return for the Judah fight with Top Rank, which was the last Top Rank fight for him. If Arum wanted the fight so bad, and HBO wanted it according to you while you ignore all of the signs that clearly say you are wrong, then it should have been what Arum was pushing for instead of Judah but it wasn't.

your attempt to change history while valiant wasnt as successful as marty mcfly's. floyd could have took the 7 million and bought himself out of the contract(like he did later) but instead he went to hbo and demanded an easier fight for less. you are trying to use this as a pro floyd argument why??? we know floyd went to hbo to help him avoid margarito but thats not a good thing. why do you keep giving me more ammunition against floyd? all he had to do was take the 7 million and he could have left. he didnt have to run to daddy hbo and complain about being forced to fight good fighters. thats really your pro floyd argument? they tried to make floyd fight a good fighter! noooooooo! you cant say he left for more money since we know thats not true. 7 is more than 4. you cant say he left top rank at that time since we know thats not true he bought himself out later. you have no argument its hilarious.

So this all hinges on you saying he should buy out of his contract later? That's the big deal?

Who are you to tell him when to try to get out of his contract? You say the same thing over and over, but you won't come close to admitting how much more money he made by getting out of his contract.

You are in desperation mode. I've provided you with fact after fact, including Margarito's own team saying the fight was offered ONCE, being before the Baldomir fight.

"He turned us down ONCE before saying Margarito wasn't a big name and then he went and fought Baldomir."
Yea, he fought Baldomir...and not for Top Rank.

First you were saying HBO wanted the Margarito fight, and now that I've disproven that, you say Mayweather ran to them to not have the Margarito fight. Desperation

Stop crying and be a man.

            .
your whole entire argument has been floyd made more money by leaving top rank. cept he left top rank temporarily for one fight and made less money. 4 million instead of 7 if he stayed. he was still with top rank legally so he had to buy himself out. your entire argument was floyd wanted to leave top rank and now you are saying who are you to tell him when to get out? you are the one who said he wanted to leave not me! my god have you confused yourself? i don't care if he leaves or not. he made less money by temporarily leaving for one fight, then he bought himself out later. why didn't he stay for the margarito fight then buy himself out??? you never have answered that. why not?

Dude, do you have a brain?

Do you think he broke his contract with Top Rank and then planned to go back?

Arum had to sue to rectify what happened. Give up.

WHY WOULD HE STAY FOR A MARGARITO FIGHT THAT NO ONE WAS CALLING FOR, HBO DIDN'T WANT, AND IN ALL LIKELIHOOD WASN'T EVEN OFFERED AT THAT TIME SINCE MARGARITO'S OWN TEAM'S STATEMENTS REVEAL THAT THE OFFER DIDN'T COME UNTIL LATER! I'VE ANSWERED YOUR QUESTIONS OVER AND OVER. YOU JUST DON'T LIKE THE ANSWERS.

Are there any champions who, in every single fight, fought their #1 possible opponent?

It's so easy to do this hindsight rewriting of his choices. I remember pulling up an old thread where some staunch Pac fans and Floyd Haters (including Pac-Boy & Freedom) confidently stated that Victor Ortiz was a top p4p fighter and that Mayweather wouldn't fight him, not a few months before the fight was announced. Now I'm not saying Victor Ortiz was a huge win, because he isn't, but could you fault him for picking that opponent given the circumstances at the time?

But probably this happens to a lot of great fighters. I won't be surprised if several years from now when Lomachenko is likely to be finishing a very strong career, equally desperate haters will be like but remember when he fought Marriaga tho? He could have fought fighter xyz instead.

Idk, anyway I voted for Margarito in the poll for what it's worth.
