I don't know what you want me to say here. You're taking all of the facts that have been presented, putting them together, and coming out with what you want to see. Yes, the rumor was that he was her pimp. Everyone has said that. He met her and moved into a whore house with her! He reportedly claimed to not have known she was a **********, yet he moved into a whore house with her????
Jack Dempsey did state that she tripped over a door frame and dislocated her jaw. Then she left him and never came back and he didn't know why. That doesn't sound fishy to you?
It has nothing to do with Carlos Acevedo! None of the quotations I gave were from Carlose Acevedo. One was from Jack Dempsey's coach himself who wrapped his gloves. The other was mentioned above. Especially the one about the loaded gloves is a FACT and can be proven because the interview with Dempsey's coach was done by a respected journalist and the article was found and reposted by reliable news outlets. Come on, bro.
That he believes Mayweather was shrewd at selecting opponents doesn't bother me at all. Shouldn't he have been shrewd at selecting opponents? I don't get the point. As for saying he ducked this or that fighter, the information doesn't show it. I've posted to you about that before. All I'm saying is if anyone wants to discuss it, prove that the facts are wrong or taken in the wrong context or misconstrued. To me, it seems that the only accusation that comes close to holding up weight is the Winky Wright situation, and that's Bob Arum doing his normal bs and Winky Wright being a bigger fighter anyway, so this one is rarely even mentioned.
I just don't think you are being fair. I haven't seen him bash Joshua. He was at an event with him and they seemed fine. In recent days, he said Joshua was the leader of the pack amongst Heavies and said Wilder should go to him.
There was an article posted just today with Mayweather praising Loma!!!
So Lomachenko, tell your promoter to pay you. I like you. I like his movement, his speed. I respect him as a fighter.
At the end of the day, I got nothing against Lomachenko.
At the end of the day, I got nothing against Lomachenko.
But it seems that for some posters, even this will receive some hate.
Once again, I posted the situation where Dempsey backed out of the fight with Wills. Dempsey hadn't fought a black contender since 1916. He retired in 1927!!! That's 11 years without fighting a black fighter! There was huge interest in the Wills fight, and Wills said he ducked him FOR YEARS. You've pointed out to one instance. If you have some information on Wills, post it with the source and maybe we can get to the bottom of what happened. You may be completely right and I'm sure you know more about Dempsey than I do, but I'd like to see the links and articles.
And again, I don't mind what Acevedo says about Floyd. I didn't post any quotations from him and if he says Floyd cherrypicked that's fine. The facts are out there and you know I've already shown them to you, so what's the point? Acevedo is entitled to his own opinion.
He was critical of Mayweather from what I can see, particularly the Pac fight and the Berto fight. He also wondered if Boxing would survive without Floyd.
Whether or not Mayweather stays on the sidelines remains to be seen. If he keeps his word and retires permanently, however, his absence is certain to have an effect on the US fight racket. Will the sweet science in America turn into some sort of apocalyptic wasteland – like Pompeii buried under ashes – without Mayweather? Or will boxing, tenacious as ever, rebound from the loss of its biggest star?
Johnson had an amazing run. Now you're going to beat up on him? Really? Knocked the **** out? Come on, man. You have a way for sensationalism. It was reported that neither man was marked up and some wondered how legit the knockout was since Johnson got up quickly at 10. Some thought maybe he just gave up feeling that he wasn't going to win, and it was in 103 degree heat that was draining both fighters. Not sure about him throwing the fight. Would we weird to wait for the 26th round, but some have tried to explain even that. I don't care to get into all of that.
He was 37 years old when he finally lost to Williard (mind you, this is a guy who has at least twice fought 2 opponents on the same day). He was holding the title hostage and there was a wild desire to get the title back from him and to "the whites." If you want to see a great documentary, watch "Unforgivable Blackness." It's really a good watch! If you do check it out, let me know what you think.
What other fighters do is on them. Why are you blaming Floyd. If those are your feelings about what he did, you are certainly entitled to your opinion. But it just seems biased being that, for example, many of us posted about the 50/50 contract for Pac and you dismiss it by saying it didn't happen and then basically take a shlt on Kevin Iole who is an award winning boxing journalist and insider who always comes through with reliable information and is greatly admired amongst his peers and the boxing community. Come on, man!
