Looks like wilders ppl were throwing around money too...

    Here’s the link dummy: http://www.espn.com/boxing/story/_/i...povetkin-fight
So Wilders promoters would have paid him less to fight Povetkin (70% of 5 mil) who is a much bigger name than Whyte, than Hearn was willing to pay him to fight Whyte (3 mil and US TV revenue).

    Thanks for proving my point.

If you believe that's ******, then that's on you! A Champion is asked to come fight a challenger, in his country, with no guarantee he'll face the Champion! NO BUENO! Not even for $3 Million! Dillan Whyte is trash!

Look you AJ fans just wanted wilder to fight Whyte so when he KO’d the bum, y’all can say it was AJs left overs & another bum on wilders resume and how he wasn’t he same after the Joshua KO. instead he chose to go fight the other most avoided HW in the division to boost his resume and help him bring things to the table as some of you would say.. so stop with the he didn’t fight Whyte for 3 mil means he ducked, doesn’t make sense for a guy 39-0 with 38 KOs I’m sorry

          April 27, 2017:

Earlier today an article by Elliot Foster ran on BoxingScene.com which stated that WBA President Gilberto J Mendoza may give the Anthony Joshua-Wladimir Klitschko winner a "special permit" to make a voluntary defense before facing mandatory challenger Luis Ortiz (27-0 23 KOs)...

"If he wins he has to face his biggest fear. What's his fear you ask? It is a big, Cuban, power punching southpaw that's hungry and will stop at nothing to rip his head off. Look, it's plain and simple, this will say a lot to his fans about him. He's fighting to be rich like he keeps saying but buddy this is boxing so man up because I'm fighting for my pride and I will not accept a step aside fee from you. Your money's no good here. Step up or give it up. Anyway, we will continue this conversation another day. Good luck to both of you on Saturday. I'll be seeing one of you two soon."

No problems, though! Wilder did MAN UP! Wilder vs. Ortiz in 2018! Happy New Year!

This is nothing but what Ortiz wants .

Nothing to do with reality .

Ortiz you are have a choice ,who do you want to fight , Wilder or a GUARANTEED shot at Joshua after Pulev ?

Ortiz : Lets go with Wilder !

Why couldn't Haymon, Finkel, et al, do the same thing in the US as Hearn did in the UK with all that Waddell & Reed money they had at their disposal, instead of squandering it on atrocious miss-matches and a TV channel that makes world class boxing seem about as exciting as dominos evening in an old folks rest home?
Bruh don’t disrespect Haymon like that ever again in you’re life when he’s managed and put together 4 of the highest grossing fights in boxing history.... he’s the man behind mayweather & has a star in his stable at almost every weight class... you’re dumb (queens flip voice)

Why did Joshua choose Pulev over Ortiz, especially after Ortiz stepped aside for AJ to fight Wlad? That's called "ducking" in the states:

Anthony Joshua prepared to relinquish WBA belt to pursue Kubrat Pulev fight

              4 August 2017

Anthony Joshua is prepared to risk being stripped of his WBA heavyweight title to continue pursuing a fight with Kubrat Pulev.

Following Wladimir Klitschko’s retirement, the governing body have demanded that Joshua – the WBA and IBF champion – fights Cuba’s Luis Ortiz.

Pulev, the mandatory challenger to Joshua’s IBF title, became his focus since the proposed rematch with Klitschko ceased being an option.

Press Association Sport understands that the Bulgarian is still expected to be Joshua’s next opponent, regardless of the WBA’s potential intervention.

Should the fight with Pulev in either Cardiff or Las Vegas imminently be confirmed for October 28 or November 11, the WBA could choose to make their title vacant so that Ortiz can challenge for it.

However, Joshua recognises the same risk applies with the IBF title should he prioritise the undefeated Ortiz, 38, over the 36-year-old Pulev.

“According to the resolution sent on January 11th, 2017, to both parties, it was reported that the winner of the Joshua-Klitschko fight, held on April 29th, 2017, had to face Ortiz after 120 days,” read a statement from the WBA.

              http://www.dailymail.co.uk/wires/pa/...lev-fight.html

Ortiz or Pulev? AJ went with Pulev! THAT'S GAY!

                Sorry .. my bad.

I forgot that Al Haymon made Floyd Mayweather a super star and that neither Floyd/Manny nor Floyd/McTapper could possibly have happened without his invaluable effort and advice.

Thanks for proving you’re an idiot that purse bid was in 2016 & there is more money in Wilder’s fights now than it was then, even if it was a yr ago because his stock has risen, therefore making those bids higher but you know everything Robbie Hearns lmfao

It does if Wilder has doubts or doesn't want the risk with a unorthodox fighter who doesn't stop punching ?

Considering Hearn also was going to give Wilder a % inrease should he win with Joshua in a U.K fight where IT WILL be taking place.

You guys calling these Joshua left over bums i guess hvent actually looked at Wilders resume which is among the worst for any HW champion at any point .So much he NEEDS a Joshua win just to erase it .

Im also pretty sure Whyte would be Wilders best win , of course he declined it so he doesn't get that win.

If there's more money why isn't he being paid more?

1.5 mil for Arreola and Szpilka, but 900k for Washington and 1.4 mil for Stiverne.
