Danny Garcia Is Screwing Up His Legacy

I was in the “Matthysse will destroy him in 6” camp. Came on that night and made a thread about how the crow tasted good. He made me a believer. Then he proceeded to flush it all down the toilet with bs fights and inactivity. He’s a new generation fighter. No desire to increase his legacy and only his bank account. I honestly don’t see how he has fans.Comment

He's beaten Khan and Matthysee..nothing else on his resume stands out at all. I just made this argument a few days ago. Morales, Judah, Malignaggi, Guerrero? C'mon. Clearly didn't want to fight Postol who got whopped by Crawford. He arguably lost to Herrera and imo should've lost to Peterson as well in their fight. Danny fights down to his competition in many cases and considering the names available to him he keeps choosing to pad his record. Simply having names for the sake of having names on your resume is pointless. Where he should've been a big star by now he's happy to be where he is. The only ones blowing him up like he's some legend are his fans.Comment

You are being a whiny f.agot, take his resume as a whole and for the under 30 fighters he has the second best resume only behind Canelo . So what if he fought Salka or Vargas it means nothing. His last fight was against Thurman in a unification, He fought a prime Matthysse , Prime Khan , Prime Lamont add in Paulie, Guerrero, Zab, Morales. He fought Holt and Campbell on his way through the ranks but yeah he's a cherry picker.I'm a whiny faggot, for telling the truth? Danny Garcia is a cherry picker. Deal with it.
What has Danny done at 147? He beat a washed up Malignaggi and Guerrero, demolished a bum, and lost his title to Thurman. Garcia's wasting his prime by being inactive, and rarely ever challenging himself.
He wasn't injured, and Thurman didn't knock him out, so why'd he need a layoff? Dude got outboxed, and disappeared for nearly a year. Brandon Rios wasn't even very good, when he was still active. Pac and Bradley treated him like a heavy bag.
How is fighting a prime Thurman/ Matthysse / Khan all fights he was the underdog not challenging himself
He has a better resume then all the new guys at 147
Is Rios elite, No but losing to a ATG and a future HOF and a close fight with Alvarado that could have gone either way doesn't diminish the fact that Rios is a decent fighter
He just suffered his first defeat, if he wanted to take some time off and fight a decent not great fighter how can you sh.it on that
. Kov just fought Shabransky for his return. That's what you do rarely do fighters jumps right into the fire after they suffer their first defeatComment

The Cherry Garcia ice cream is just one part of my meme. I found all the images I used on Google and Reddit, and made the meme on Paint. I thought you had Peter Parker and everything. I doubt either of us were the first ones to make that Cherry Garcia joke. That is the same tub of ice cream that I put in my meme, so I do apologize if you think I stole your idea.Comment

Rios is a good fight after a long lay-off, but the thing is...he had no reason for the lay-off. He wasn't recovering from an injury, so it makes you wonder whether he's coming back for the long-term or just a few fights to tide him over financially.Comment

Garcia beat Matthysse, Judah, Khan, Holt and Campbell 4-6 years ago. Who the fuck still cares? What did he do since Matthysse? He got exposed by Herrera, fought the TBE of bums, got exposed again by Peterson, fought 2 has-beens and a bum, then finally lost to Thurman. He fought Holt and Campbell on his way through the ranks but yeah he's a cherry picker.
Salka, Herrera, Vargas and Malignaggi weren't cherry picks? 2 fights a year and he takes up one for Herrera and Salka? Wow, such quality opposition! Let's not forget the time he paid Postol not to fight him.
Danny Garcia rarely challenged himself after Matthysse.
He fought Peterson and Thurman, 2 years apart, with bums and has-beens before and in between both fights.
Did his resume save his 0 from Thurman? No. What matters is what he's doing now. Right now, he's getting ready to fight yet another cherry, after having taken an unnecessary layoff. I don't give a shit about who Cherry boy fought at 140. Cherry pickers don't get my respect, and 147 is a whole other ballgame. He lost, the moment he fought a decent welterweight. That says everything I need to know about him at 147.
Rios didn't just lose, he was reduced to a human punching bag. Dude was blocking punches with his face. Rios struggled against Aaron Herrera, in his last fight. Rios is probably decent in an alternate universe.
11 months is not "some time," that's way too much time for a healthy fighter, especially in their prime. Again, he wasn't injured or knocked out, so there's no reason why he needed to take that much time off. What's this match supposed to prove, that Danny Garcia can beat bums? We already know that. He's been showing us that for years. Nobody's asking Danny Garcia to take a hard fight on his comeback, but the least he can do is get someone who can fight worth a fuck.
Shabranskyy didn't retire, come out of retirement, then struggle against a bum. Not only that, but Kovalev was coming off of a stoppage loss, and a car accident.Comment
