Before the first Kovalev/Ward fight Breadman did an analysis of both men, and what he thought was going to happen in the fight. He finished by saying his head was telling him Kovalev should beat Ward, but because of a gut feeling, and rumours he'd heard about Kovalev not "living the life" he was picking Ward to win.
I posted a comment saying Bread's gut feeling was nothing but pro American bias - him not wanting to pick against the US establishment fighter - then look what happened in that fight!
I would never dismiss anything Breadman says about the US scene after that. That guy knows what's going on and he tells us as much of it as he can get away with in his mailbag - without betraying anybody's secrets.
