For a middleweight title fight - any middleweight title fight - they could have weighed up to 160lbs.

If you were an honest poster you would think about that and aknowledge that you just knocked your own argument spark out.

If you were an honest poster ....

The fact that, without PED testing, he was able to get back down to 154 for one fight after that doesn't alter anything.
so he outgrew 154, but still won a title there, interesting...

you posted dribble stating that 155 falls within the MW range

          1) if a fighter is limited to any weight within the middleweight division below 160, then he is participating in a catchweight contest..... because, middleweight is 160

          2) the technical aspects of the fight are irrelevant because..... one JMW, fighting another JMW, at 155, is NOT a middleweight bout

          like I have always said.....

casual-fans are totally clueless about styles/levels/weight

A-. World title fight scheduled to x division in which the fighters agree to have a limit of how much they can weight . For example a fight scheduled at welterweight which the limit is 147 lbs. and the fighters agree on weighing 144 maximum. For boxing regulation the fight is within the 147 category, so it is an official welterweight fight
Straight from the WBC sheep***er, now read it 50 times to make sure you understand it because you are wrong as usual

            because.....

            1) he weighs in at 160
            2) he weighs in at 160, in order to fight a MW opponent
            3) he is conditioned to both fighting MW's and to making 160

155lb Canelo..... did NONE of those things
No he doesn't weigh in at 160. He's only weighed in at 160 a couple of times in his career.

Any jmw who rehydrates up to 174lbs has outgrown the division. There's no way someone can cut so much and perform optimally. That extra lb wasn't for nothing. People wanna make out like Canelo weight was "just cuz" and are in denial about the fact that making 154 was becoming too taxing for him. In the rest of the boxing world, fighters just move to the next damn weight class when that happens.

                • Can’t believe this conversation is still goin on... it was pretty clear
Golovkin would fight canelo at 155 but wouldn’t put his titles on the line, if they wanted to fight for the titles then golovkin demanded 160 limit..... so many ppl try to twist **** it’s ridiculous...

A catchweight above the jmw weight, ie middleweight.

                    • If fighter a weighs in a 159 and the other weighs in at 158½, it is a JMW fight. Because I like to think so. It wouldn't a be a fight at middleweight. That's how it works. Only fights at 160 on the dot is middleweight. Just because you fight for the middleweight title, doesn't mean you have fought middleweights. Just because you fight above 154 pounds, which is the limit, doesn't mean you are bigger than JMW. You GGGtards are just being silly with your facts and stuff. It's just a catchweight. It doesn't really count.
