No Golovkin fans are proving that Canelo is a valid fighter in the Middleweight division not that he is necessarily bigger than Golovkin. Its obvious he can handle the Middleweight division look at how well he absorbed Golovkin's punches. Golovkin hit him solidly numerous times. He's shorter than G true. His reach on box rec is 1/2 inch longer. He has a blocky body type so he could very well weigh as much as G, more, or close to it on fight night. Canelo defenders are claiming Canelo can beat guys like Lemieux, Saunders and Jacobs all career Middleweights but at the same time crying that Canelo isn't a real middleweight. They need to stop lying to themselves..

Golovkin didn't pay step aside money you nut case. At the request of the WBC to make the fight Golovkin agreed to step aside and let the Cotto Canelo fight be made. He got paid by Cotto. The winner of the fight was to fight Golovkin. The fight didn't happen because Canelo vacated his title claiming the WBC was being unreasonable.

It's possible that Martinez may have been able to beat Golovkin so what?? Prime Martinez was a damned good fighter. That doesn't take away from the fact that Cotto and Canelo played a weight game for years.
