Comments Thread For: Golovkin Promoter: Canelo Deal Would Have To Be Finalized Soon

Holiday plans are being finalized as we speak, with the forgetful and the procrastintaors in sweaty-brow mode, running to the pharmacy to score gift cards to Target and the like In the boxing sphere, planning is happening too, with maybe a few hours off for those celebrating such traditions to enjoy a Christmas Eve feast and Christmas day lounging. Then, New Year's beckons, and we kick into fourth gear again, in this season of ours that never ends, and the deal-makers get back to business crafting prizefights of worth and massive stakes and fan friendly appeal.

Since they waited 2 plus years, to make sure GGG was showing decline, and they got the judges on their side, the second fight will probably get made.

Zero respect for "fighters" who duck, dodge, and wait it out.

You can also see that GGG knows he couldn't take a fight in between the last ginger vag fight, and may 5th. Same way he couldn't take a fight before the first ginger vag fight!

GGG won the first fight and got a draw would need a tko ko or knockdown to win 8-4 again A side deck stacked against him now you wonder how UFC grew fans tired of boring fights and corrupt decisions

If they do sort their sh't out i'll be rooting for Golovkin, for a couple reasons.

I think GGG will retire when he loses and if he continues, there is still hope a future opponent will actually stand their ground and fight.

Golovkin has all the attributes to be in a FOTY but needs a dance partner who'll be up for the battle.
It's been too long since a ppv main event was FOTY!

            lmao

so the 25 year old canelo was supposed to rush to fight the 33 year old golovkin in a weight class canelo had never fought in......that makes alot of sense! lol

some of you still cant understand that its golovkin that was chasing a kid.....canelo didnt need golovkin.....canelo was 25 years old two years ago...look at what most other 25 year olds are doing in the sport.....and canelo had already done way more than that

too many of you clowns are fanboys with agendas...stop and take a look at the situation and tell me what other 25 year old, who is already a superstar, is in a rush to fight a 33 year old b-side while going up in weight? the fight was always going to happen on canelos time....and the timing was just right this last year

you clowns want to hold canelo accountable for golovkin getting a late start to his career and getting any noteriety...canelo is not responsible for golovkin career....if it werent for HBO pushing golovkin down our throats, agaisnt garbage comp, there would have been little demand for the fight in the first place

Canelo must wait at least 2 years to be sure he beats Golovkin. LOL Imagine a 29 y/o Golovkin vs Canelo.

Lil'G fans are the dumbest of the bunch. "They waited..." in blaming others...

Meanwhile K2 since 2010, never got funds from the Klitchko''s to get Lil'G those #1 spots in the other orgs, as they could've got mandos long ago before cotto or nelo were narratives for Golovkin.

All this because Lil'G was afraid of 168...because someone else was there...they relied on other fighters to cause distraction

Golovkin had to stay active since Sturm, Quillin and Martinez was ducking him and pretending he doesn't exist. Also at that time Canelo was fighting in tough wars against boxing elite forces like Luciano Leonel Cuello, ancient-corpse of Carlos Manuel Baldomir and Lovemore Ndou. LOL
