Ward probably lost the 1st Kovalev fight as Kovie got screwed in America. The 2nd fight seems Ward hurt Kovie and might have ended the fight eventually. Weeks should have given Kovalev a better count. But in America does anyone expect a Russian to get a fair break? America protects it's own kids.

Agreed, except it ain't suspect. It's bad. He gets clipped by any of the mentioned and he's out which is too sad.Gvozdyk's chin is suspect, other than that he fights intelligently, has height/ range / size on most of his opponents and natural power. He has good footwork / movement but we will see if that is taxing on him when faced with the elite.
In any case he is more proven than BivolComment

Last man standing is gonna be between Bivol and Beterbiev, I favour Bivol. Gvozdyk is also very good.Comment

Yeah and it is hurting the PBC (protecting boxing cowards) brand with all that cherry picking....boxers have a shelf life....pbc does alot of smoke and mirrors marketing ...e.g. deontayduckus wilderquackus , chickenson, the whole lot at 154 and floyd mayweather.....actually floyd was the blueprint....he was marketed brilliantly but has no substance behind him that is why he has to be loud......also those"investors" he had sued his @$$....time will tell and so far his brand has slowly been circling the drain.....Last edited by TexasCowBoy; 12-25-2017, 02:50 PM.Comment

He was hurt bad against Karpency with what didn't seem like a big shot.....or perhaps it was. He did recover after what was a long count I'd say....but someone like Kovalev woulda killed him.
I dunno, I just have zero faith in his punch resistance. Great boxer, pleasure to watch but just a mater of time before someone KOs him. Guys like him I'd give better odds him winning against say Ward as opposed Kovalev or even Stevenson, whom I say he beats because he's just old and can get hurt himself.Comment
