A smart move to move up and get a belt at a higher weight and a relatively safe fight for BJS, Truax poses no real threat to him even at the higher wt...

Funny those who say BJS is skeeerreed... taking an easy fight to get an easy belt... when that scenario plays itself out all the time in boxing, yet very few ever mention it until it's BJS. Did you ever think just maybe he'd go after other belts after he gets solid footing at SMW? Geez, I'd rather salute the guy for daring to reach the heights. Better than being another Wilder and fighting 3 dozen cans. A BJS/Truax fight would be a great one for the fans, as well as subsequent fights from Saunders.

Don't let a UD over Lemieux go to your head now, Billy. I fully expected Saunders not to talk about making the Jacobs fight and lo and behold there is murmurings of a move to 168.

It's a smart move. That IBF strap would give to BJS some leverage in negotiations against 168 WBSS's winner in a big domestic fight. Also the WBO belt could secure to Saunders a fight with the winner of Canelo-GGG rematch.

If you were in the position to make millions to fight the Canlo/GGG winner, you would risk it all to fight Jacobs? Make no mistake, Canelo/GGG winner wants Saunders' belt. That fight will more than likely take place in September. It's a unification for all the marbles. You would blow a chance at that money because Jacobs is talking mean on public media? Jacobs needs to stop coasting off his GGG loss and get in line to become a mandatory. Why doesn't he fight Charlo? He scared?

Good points, but my gut feeling is that if Saunders wins the Truax fight he will stay there at super-middle.
