Comments Thread For: Billy Joe Saunders Willing To Move Up, Face Caleb Truax in April

BILLY JOE SAUNDERS wants an April showdown with James DeGale's conqueror Caleb Truax. The American pulled off a huge shock when he outpointed DeGale to rip the IBF super-middleweight belt from his grasp in London earlier this month. Chunky' is hoping for an immediate rematch in the New Year but now his old mate Saunders wants a crack at Truax too.

Good on him if he does. I won't exactly call it a cherry pick, as he'd be moving up and fighting a bigger man, but Caleb Traux was in the right place at the right time to get a belt, let's face it.

Still, at least he is considering moving up unlike GGG who just talks about it for years instead.

The idea of getting hammered by Golovkin or Jacobs is starting to dawn on Saunders. He'll be going for the Adonis Stevenson route.

Nah this the Mikey Garcia route, say you wanna fight everyone, then fight the poorest champion in the division above.

Its a good move, very smart.

If Eubank beats Groves the there could be a huge unification SMW rematch summer 2018.

BJS doesn't want any piece of Jacobs - why would he? Risk losing a massive payday or lineal status?

Of course he does, the path of least resistance. Traux is one of those fighters that looks so beatable the everybody is going want to take his title away
