Mikey is just name dropping Lomachenko but he's been making excuses for a while now why the fight can't happen. He first said TV ratings (Loma's are stronger now), he said "I already beat Martinez", now Loma has added more names and it's something different.

He name dropped Cotto too with no intention of fighting him.

Arum is a crook but Mikey is no angel. This is the guy who was making great paydays under Top Rank asked for Gamboa got Gamboa and went away.

Mikey just gonna keep throwing shade and name dropping bigger names but fighting guys with the same style. Limited, slow footed aggressive fighters he can light up.

He's easy work for Lomachenko.

Cotto fight didn't happen because GB wanted him to sign a contract for more fights. I'm not saying thats a bad thing but if Cotto and Oscar wanted it bad enough they could of let the FANS know that was no longer an issue. They DIDN'T end of story. Your just hating because Mikey actually READS his contracts now days....

All is relative, right? If Loma made $1.2 million last fight, then $3.5 million to Mikey would be quite astronomical, yes.
So, money is obviously an issue. Weight category is another issue, for example.
But why lie saying that "Arum won't allow it to happen"?

Because he knows how Arum works! Maybe you don't know Arum's history! Maybe you don't understand economics. If Mikey can get $3.5 million to fight Lipinets for his title @ 140, how much do you think he'll want for Lomachenko to fight him for his title @ 135? $3.5 million is "astronomical" for Lomachenko, because Bob isn't paying him like that! And without Pacquiao, Crawford, or Garcia, Lomachenko may never see that! SUCKS FOR HIM!

You can rock with whoever you want, no problem. But Mikey is lying about Bob Arum on this one.
Why he's lying, I don't know. Maybe he really believes it, maybe he is unwilling to admit that he prefers money over legacy, maybe something else.
