The exposure he will get, win or lose, will also help raise his stardom in the future. So what is the problem? Make the damn fight already. It is only Floyd's unhealthy obsession with never risking an undefeated record, even at the expense of making big fights that create stars, that is preventing this fight. There is no logical reason whatsoever other than Floyd's dumb obsession. Unless you actually believe Lomachenko would give Tank a career-altering beating, Margarito-Cotto style, or some ****, then there is literally no logical reason not to make the fight next. Some of y'all are acting like Lomachenko would kill Tank or some ****. It's a boxing match, not an execution, and Lomachenko is not even a knockout artist. Floyd is tripping.
Because confidence is everything in boxing and Lomachenko is a guy that can destroy that in another guy? A guy getting broken mentally in a fight is probably worse than a single bad beating.

Use some of that logic, Lomachenko is A STUD and Floyd knows that no matter what he may say and he knows how he mentally broke guys like Davis so why put a guy through that for nothing but a hard road back for a guy with questionable commitment to the game in the first place. Beating Lomachenko would make him the man to 130 but a big star not really he would have a lot more work to do.

The pace of the fights, the mentality and concept of the pro game against the amateur game. Sure an amateur can have more solid fundamentals but he's not trained or experienced at going 10 or 12 rounds or fighting pro style boxers.

There's a reason Ali who won Olympic Gold for example was knocked down and got a razor thin win over Doug Jones and then knocked down and hurt badly by Henry Coopr but made a mockery of Liston and other top pro's once he got acquainted to the pro game.

There's a reason why Lomachenko is probably the best (most proven) 11 fight fighter in history - or at least modern history. He had the foundations and he leaned/adapted fast. I think a more conventional way of handling him would have been the Kostya Tszyu route of a couple bums and some low tier contenders and a gradual climb but I do applaud the mentality he took into the game and am enjoying seeing him improve aspects of his game with nearly every fight. He's a talented fighter IMO. Sure, his boxing experience was already grand but pro experience is never gained overnight.
      That's a well written post.

Well obviously the accomplishments don't carry over. But the experience and skills learnt do.

Then Loma should've fought Berchelt and not Rigo, right?

Floyd took on all comers and was WBC Champ less than 2 years after his debut. WBC.... Not WBO... not IBF.... not WBA..... WBC... Less than 2 years... Loma was fighting for a title in his 2nd fight. Lomachenko does need to fight for the WBC and WBA titles as soon as he can, but he got so good so fast, he's fighting the money fights now.

Garcia just signed to fight somebody else, so the WBC at 135 is not there. He should probably fight Miguel Berchelt next.

Davis is nowhere near Loma's level man. Nowhere near it. He just admitted it on twitter. Davis is not an intelligent fighter or even an intelligent person. It's a complete domination. Anyone defending Davis not fighting Loma right now is doing so because they know he'll get flattened.

You're confused. Top level amateurs can easily defeat most pro boxers. The Salido fight was a joke all around. It was so many different things that all fell into place for Salido.

First, Lomachenko's corner didn't demand a rehydration limit after he MISSED weight (arrogance or inexperience). Then the referee didn't stop Salido from hitting him on the nuts the entire fight.

Even after all that, Loma almost stopped him in the 12th.

We get it, **** ass fuckstains like you that are still upset Floyd is undefeated want his fighter to lose so you can celebrate. If the situation was reversed, you'd be saying Loma is too green, why do it now.

Floyd is going to build his fighter the way he sees fit.
Floyd ain't undefeated, he lost to Jose Luis Castillo.

all true but this era fighters are scared of losing because their value usually goes down among fans I mean how many times has a damn good fighter lost and been called a bum, a hype job ect

look at brook vs GGG he fought like a warrior for as long as he could until his corner pulled him out then he fought what could be the best fighter of the next era straight after but ask 100 ppl on here and 90 or so will not say "brook took risks and come up short but still respect him" instead its "brooks a bum a quitter ect"

promoters know fans these days are looking for the next invincible fighter and hype sells not valiant warriors the era of fans who grew up on films like rocky and raging bull are gone ..this is the era of the 0 and $
