if mikey garcia is making 3.5 million to fight lipinets....its going to be hard for him to make any fihts against good fighters since he will want all the money and good fighters wont let that happen. loma-linares is more likely to split 50-50 while garcia will want 90-10 so the fight wont happen. they created another monster.

Good point. Mikey earning $3.5M to Loma's $1.2M versus Rigo is going to stir the leverage to Mikey's advantage. He may insist on a 70/30 split. If it's not a PPV event then there isn't a lot of meat on the bone. However, if Loma's star begins to rise in 2018 and he starts earning the same or more money, this can quickly become a 50/50 fight in terms of purse money.

Loma is not bigger than Mikey, especially in California or Vegas. Mikey would draw bigger crowds that Loma. As for viewers, I hope Loma draws more than Mikey since he's fighting a pretty much free TV. But yet he's fighting in small arenas. I know both of them personally and both want the fight but it all depends on if Arum allows it by not asking for options on Mikey or trying to low ball Mikey. Would you consider it a duck if Mikey and Showtime offered Loma around 1.5 mil plus a percentage to fight Mikey on Showtime PPV and Loma and Arum decline?

He said the same thing after beating Sosa and goes on to bring up Marriaga and Rigo from lower weights to fight instead of moving up and fighting at 135 to acclimate to the weight. If he would have moved up to 135 then a fight with MIkey would be realistic but for now its not. Loma has said Mikey is bigger and he would have to move up and acclimate to 135 before fighting MIkey.

He only fought rigo because rigo wouldnt stop talking **** and everyone wanted that fight. Now you guys are saying " he dragged up rigo in weight". I dont think loma even gave a **** about rigo that much he always brushed him off. We will see in his next fight, if Loma is serious in fighting Mikey, he should step up to 135 to acclimate to the weight. He fought Rigo ok, but why fight Marriaga if he supposedly wanted a Mikey fight. He could have moved up and fought at 135 after Sosa. Mikey and his brother have stated that they are both willing to fight each other, it just depends on Arum. Mickey's brother is good friends with Lomas manager, Loma trains at Roberts gym that he leased out to Klimas. Even Loma has said he will not fight Mikey in his first fight at 135.

You can talk mythical numbers all day long, but as of right now, Mikey is earning three times as much as Loma. Question is, will Loma be earning more a year down the road? If he catches up to Mikey in terms of purses, then 50/50 is not unreasonable. If the fight is signed today, it has to be in Mikey's favor. By how much, who knows?
