Actions apeak louder than words. Garcia is the obvious choice for Loma if he wants to improve his standing both financial and legacy. If he doesn't try to make the fight in 2018 i would say yes.

What does "try" to make the fight look like?

Mikey doesn't look like he's trying when he's said he only fights on Showtime and has said he won't work with Arum and also made a lot of excuses about stuff he did years ago and TV ratings.

When in reality Mikey is having his second fight (in a row) at 140, Loma's getting better viewership than Mikey ever got and Arum has said they'd like to make the fight with Mikey.

I think Mikey just has to accept a 50/50 (or 40/60 but I think they'd offer 50/50) fight on ESPN (maybe ESPN PPV) given that he's the B side and ESPN is a great platform. My su****ion is that Mikey will want it at 140 and 60 or 70% split on Showtime and that's obviously not going to happen. Sometimes unreasonable and unrealistic demands (especially as the B side) are a way of not fighting a guy you don't want to fight.

Loma actually said that Mikey Garcia is any easy style for him

I'm at work so can't use sound now. I'll watch it later. What does he say?

My belief is they'd share a couple rounds early in the feel out but once Loma times his speed, figures his angles and gets a rhythm he'd just be too fast, too in and out and would win the last 9/10 rounds giving one up due to coasting/taking a breather. I honestly see it as a 118-110 type fight I feel as strongly as I do that Loma-Rigo and Loma-Walters would be an absolute whitewash.

Lomachenko is like the most willing boxer in the game to take on challenges. The guy has a better resume in 10 fights than most champions in the sport. He takes on the best guys he can at all times. To say he is scared of mikey is hillarious, he even said he wants mikey right after he beat rigo.

Mikey's purse demands will probably be bigger than the entire live gate.
