lie #1I sometimes hear of people mentioning this, just not so far on this site. Anyone here believe Mayweather lost?
I went to a sports bar when it happened, and it was PACKED, mostly of Asian people, including a friend I went with. The place had like 2 people going for Mayweather, so naturally when Pacquiao did something everyone would roar.
They didn't roar much at all, and by the end of the fight (and throughout the fight) they had a defeated look on their face - they knew their guy had lost. Fast forward to the next day and my 'friend' as well as his mostly Asian friends online were adamant that Manny was robbed - how can you take these people seriously?
It kind of takes away from legitimate complaints of robberies in boxing. So not to judge anyone, but does anyone on here think Manny won, and explain why they think he won?

No but he did out land him and it's been proven. That said, I think a healthy Manny would have went on to win that fight.Comment

i think what it comes down to is Floyd most definitely won the fight, however Manny is the only one who made it even slightly resembling a "fight", and thats why casual and Asians (of course) cry manny was robbed. Floyd fights have always been boring chess games tho I will never understand after over 15 years a good 10 of those being with floyd in the limelight people still expect more from his fights

Yeah, Floyd fans paint it as a 12-0 white wash of the prime Pacquaio when in reality it was a close, boring fight where both guys did nothing, one guy just looked better at doing nothing. Pacquaio also looked like the much smaller man and was washed up.
Marquez-Pacquaio IV was a better fight and better win even though Floyd fans think MayPac was better on both counts. They are wrong.
I lost interest after 5-6 rounds and missed bits but seemed close and even to me but I was paying more attention to drinking beer and eating tacos so I'll take the consensus views on the fight. I just wasn't into it.
Amazed so many people still care and obsess over a dumb fight between a boring fighter playing safety first and a smaller, washed up fighter in a fight with zero action or entertainment.Comment
