My man Paulie was doin the holdin but cotto was hittin a lot while holding, along w/ pushin off with the elbows and and snappin his head side to side to open up the cut more.

AND Paulie did stun/stagger him w/ a right i dont rememer what rd what it was when he was steppin out and Paulie hit em w/ a right and cotto's hands dropped and he took a couple steps back as he was clearly dazed.

but im not takin away nothin from cotto he won fair and square, but lets get paulie a little more experience, we now know he can take a punch with cotto movin up, 140 is wide open still...

...Paulie can outbox any one at 140 i think he did it to cotto for almost most of the and this is comin off little experience, he had cotto earmuffed and poppin in 3-4 punch combos and movin through the middle rds, we'll see Paulie's stock def rises w/ this fight much like juraz and collazos did after their recent loses

I agree with you Paulie gained my respect in this fight, if you look I even started a thread about it. But Paulie was initiating the holds and Cotto was trying to punch his way out of them in order to get free and in order to discourage Paulie from continuing his 1-2 hold routine which he did a few times in the later rounds. Its just that you make it seem like Cotto is dirty which I dont think he is. I would like to see Paulie versus someone like Sosa, Corley or Maussa.

Cotto was somewhat frustated but not from Paulie's skills but from all his holding and the ref. not doing **** about it. This bout was supposed to prepare Cotto for floyd, but with so much clinching from Paulie it was more of a preparation for Hatton.

Whoever saw a close fight, cotto being hurt or any another **** are blind haters which probably are buttsore from loosing some $$ over the fight.

Cotto didnt get rocked,he only stumbled when he was of balance and paulie hit him of the break but that was nuttin,paulie kept holding on,and Cotto blocked half of his punches with his hands anyway

Yeah...Cotto gets the wins but they are not convincing. He disappeared a bit in those middle rounds while Paulie got off on him...did Paulie rock him much, no he did not. However he was a lot busier than Cotto...he did not allow Cotto to rest. Paulie pressed the issues in the middle rounds

Dude, these nutthugging Cotto fans got it twisted. I don't give a **** about either fighter, but the fight was competetive. Paulie was cut in the first 30 secs, then he was knocked down in the second but wasn't really hurt. In the middle rounds Paulie outboxed Cotto, but Cotto landed the heavier shots through the fight and that was the difference. Cotto came on strong in the 11th and 12th rounds and pulled away. It was a close fight up until the 11th round. That's the truth! Put it this way, Cotto didn't get him outta there did he? Yeah the kid talked a little ****, but it's called MARKETING. Cotto gets destroyed by any other grade 140 or 147 pounder. Paulie really is feather fisted.

I watched the fight,and this is completely accurate.Hell,if Paulie had won the last two rounds I would have scored the fight for him.It was a close but clear victory for Miguel.
