All the prefight posturing helps the interest level in this fight escalate. It’s working and fans will tune in to see how it plays out. Bravo DL. Half of what these fighters say is legitimate the other half is contrived for our entertainment.

So you want him to check on him? That's not his job. Stevens has a history of running his mouth to the point were guys wanna take his head off, this is a tough sport and can't be too concerned with hurting your opponent

This is bloodsports, plain and simple. The optimal outcome of every fight is your opponent unconscious. While a bit distasteful to talk of death. These men literally fight for their lives and are certainly aware of the risks.

If these men are concerned for other people's health and well being maybe bludgeoning people for a living is a poor choice of occupation

Saunders probably should win and outbox Lemieux. He's that confident not bothered at all going to Canada to fight Lemieux there. With big punchers you just have to make them miss and make them pay.

Marquez had 3 fights with Pacquiao where he felt he was robbed. The emotions of getting an absolute victory probably got the best of him. I don't think Marquez personally likes Pacquiao. The thing that stood out with Lemieux was there wasn't any history between him and Stevens other than that fight. I've seen Tyson show concern and sometimes he didn't but like you said that was his bipolar kicking in. That moment with Lemieux was a little off for me. This is already a brutal sport and you hate to see the humanity taken out of it completely.
Marquez did check on Pacquiao I remember and even called him a great fighter to his face. I don't think he dislikes Manny just the judges.

Something about the way he was celebrating seemed odd. Maybe it was seeing Stevens' mother concerned in the audience and then seeing Lemieux taking his victory lap.

Like I said it's a brutal sport but at the end of the day it's just a sport. People actually die in the ring. Showing a little concern isn't a bad thing.

I get what he saying and I prefer the fighters showing respect for each other, I think some guys make it hard for you to wanna respect them even if you beat them. But ur right at the end of the day this is just sport
