Mayweather is an old shot grandpa know. He looked like B HOP in that Mcgregor fight. He put up a workmanlike performance and he needed it as he struggled mightily to beat that non boxer.

I feel sorry for the Americans forking out $100 for his ****ty PPV fights. They are so boring and people are gullible lol. He most likely fights again in 2018, he says he won't but we all know that's bull****. Another FIXED fight on the horizon casuals, oh well. Floyd doesn't know how to handle his money very well, he will continue to have tax problems with the IRS. Like I said 3 years ago - Floyd Mayweather will be BROKE AS **** in 5 years time. It's a pretty good prediction if I do say so myself.

Ok but again if the fans want to see the opponents then why do the "opponents" only do these kind of numbers when they fight Floyd?

        The logic doesn't add up.

No doubt Floyd is a star, but it takes other names for a million+ PPV buys. When he fought Berto, he only got 400k PPV buys and that supposedly was his last fight. Not to mention he needs to fight Hispanics on Mexican Holidays.

Well first and foremost he doesn't need another name to do a million as he has done 1 million without big names.

Secondly, obviously two big names is going to equal to bigger numbers.

He fought Berto and did 500 k. Who else is going to do that? Nobody.

Every time a big name fights Floyd they do their highest numbers. Only 4 fights in history have managed to reach 2 million or more, they all were fights involving Mayweather.

So going back to the initial post. Floyd gets big PPV numbers because people want to see his opponents perform to try to beat Floyd. The bigger the name, the more PPV numbers. Floyd is most disliked due to his style, controversial statements, and legal troubles.

No they are paying because Floyd is fighting.

Whether that is for negative reasons or positive reasons is irrelevant. If Floyd is fighting people are going to buy it.

It just goes to show that people will buy highly promoted garbage but never experienced the true highs of the sport. The epic J Rock KO by Charlo, the John Molina stoppage of Redkach, or even the Vargas-Miura tilt to throw last year in. At the end of the day people came out of pocket for garbage when the real fights went unnoticed. Mayweather is a self interested con man that doesn't do more to further the sport. Is that clear!!?
He got people to start with the PED Testing right?
