I have a strange feeling it happens......
How lame would a Salido Lomachenko rematch be now?

Do any of his fans want to see it? This one seems more for the detractors. Id much prefer Berchelt, Linares or Garcia. Seems its inevitable though.Comment

Salido was already past his best for a while, but after getting stopped by a journeyman, I have the same level of interest in this rematch as much Pacquiao vs. Torrecampo II.Comment

While it would be funny to watch Salido get his ass kicked without the luxury of a corrupt/incompetent ref, and even funnier to watch the Mexicans on this site cry like little five year old girls after the fight, the rematch at this juncture is pointless (it's a shame, because the anger Loma has invoked from the chicanos lately has been hilarious. War Garcia and Ghostrider would probably jump off a bridge).
Now of course, someone might respond to me "why no immediate rematch doe!" For starters, Loma probably shouldn't have fought such an opponent in his second pro fight, despite his amateur background. Second, Salido went right up to 130 after the fight since he couldn't make 126 anymore, whereas Loma wasn't quite ready to move up.
Of course, this rematch could've happened but Salido has made it clear he wants no part of a rematch. He wants to be that one unavenged blemish on Loma's record.Comment

It would be lame, yes. Salido's a warrior and has nothing to prove. His health comes first and foremost. His family looking on as he was pummelled and still tried to fight on courageously was sad to see. Time to hang them up and be with his family. There's life beyond boxing.Comment
