Comments Thread For: Lomachenko Manager: Preference is To Unify at 130

So what's next for WBO super featherweight titlist, Vasyl Lomachneko, who made Guillermo Rigondeaux submit in six rounds this past weekend at the Theater of MSG? "I heard that somebody from Top Rank is already talking about a unification. We want to unify titles. I think they've been talking to (Miguel) Berchelt, the WBC title-holder or any other unification," said Lomachenko's manager, Egis Klimas, to BoxingScene.com.

Berchelt is the perfect opponent to see if hes ready for 135. Hes a big 130lber who brings it every fight and has power. They both have common opponent where Berchelt finished him in 2 or 3 rounds while Loma went 12, although he hurt his hand that fight.

Berchelt is a fight I could get interested in. Anyone else in 130 almost seems like a step back.

Hope he goes to 135, and I do think it would be better for him to grab a step up opponent at that division before he goes after the big guns. It isn't about talent or an inability to step up, but just a training camp and different diet for a different class just makes sense.

If Salido have retired, it makes sense for Loma to fight the boxer that retired Salido........MIGUEL ROMAN.

Man Berchelt won't even touch Lomachenko. The only moment he can touch Loma is when they touch gloves at the start of the fight.

I don't see Berchelt beating Lomachenko. And Machado was getting tagged in his last fight and barely escaped. So I think it's better for Lomachenko to stay at 130 for now nobody can touch him there. Besides I want to see him fight GRJ again. I don't think he'll have the same success at 135 he beats Linares but I think he loses to Mikey Garcia.

Trying to stay at 130 is the right thing to do. There's still some unfinished business here.
