There is more prestige in being undisputed champ and defending at 130 (at least 5 times) than hopscotching his way up to 135.....

Yes. And more logic. Also Loma may lose his 130 belt just for fighting at 135.

Even they know Mikey Garcia is too soon. To bad hes only getting better. Maybe they're hoping he gets bigger as well and cant fight at 135 in a year or 2.

          There are some good fights.

I would like Machado or Berchelt who are big guys and would have at least one advantage, Tank and Gamboa could be fun.

I just want to see him vs good opponents, at whatever weight. Berchelt at 130 is nice. Linares and Mikey at 135 are nice. At the same time, boxing is at its best when we see guys at their best. For example Broner is at 147 is boring, but Broner at 135 was interesting, because Broner was actually dangerous at 135. So as much as I want to see Loma vs bigger names at 135, so long as Loma can carry his power up without losing speed or stamina, that is no guarantee. 130 looks like it might be the best Loma we ever see. It's just too bad there aren't more opponents at 130 who are also at their elite best at 130. Either Loma will have to get worse to go up, in all probability, or he will stay at his best weight, 130, but not have as many good opponents.

Unless, of course, he can somehow keep getting more powerful as he goes up to 135, like Pacquiao... but that is rare. But for now, Berchelt is a very good opponent, and both of them are at their best at 130, so I'd like to see that. It's really a shame Tank Davis is ducking Loma because that would be the sexiest fight at 130.

Win more titles with fewer fight than anyone in history. Don't stick around to fight guys we all know will not touch you.

Berchelt is a decent fight, but can he (will he) leave HBO to fight Loma on ESPN? Would Oscar let that happen? I doubt it! I say Loma's best options are 1) Pacquiao @ 140, 2) GRJ @ 130, 3) Mikey Garcia @ 135!

I like Tank Davis, but I don't think he's ready, mentally or physically. Failing at the scales, and you're only 22, tells me a lot! Tank needs to settle the beef w/ Tevin Farmer! I think Loma should re-consider fighting Pacquiao @ 140. He can afford to give Manny a weight advantage because he would have the youth and speed advantage! Look what happened to Manny's career when he beat Oscar at 147! That's the kind of exposure Loma needs now!
