Comments Thread For: White Warns Arum: We'll See Where You Stand When Smoke Clears!

UFC President Dana White has rejected some of the comments were made a few days ago by eight division champion Manny Pacquiao - who claims that his team approached the biggest star in the UFC, Conor McGregor, to discuss a potential fight in 2018. "That would be weird, because (McGregor's) under contract with us," White told MMAjunkie. "If that's true, I will be suing Manny Pacquiao and whoever is representing him."

Dana is right. The UFC has outdone boxing promotions for years now. Bob better be careful, because the UFC could definitely make him bite the dust.

UFC has done great can't deny it, but boxing out performs UFC all day everyday

Why would Dana get involved in boxing if UFC is doing great. Doesn't make logic.

Because they're looking for growth opportunities (the business is steady financially). The parent company financed the purchase of UFC with a significant amount of debt.

Boxing is the sort of content they could use to boost their TV deal. Reports are claiming they're seaking $400 million per year, and right now bids are in the $250 million dollar range.

So some are speculating that Haymon and White are in the process of making deal for "UFC Boxing" (or something like that)

This comment by White seems to imply the rumors are true. Especially when coupled with his "100%" comment from a few weeks ago.

Of course I definitely prefer boxing, but the events that UFC put on are just better. For example, look at that MSG card they put on with 3 legit world class title fights.

I'm not sure boxing outperforms UFC anymore, can any boxing promotion get a $200M a year deal offer from FOX, I think not. Can any boxing promotion average 250-300k PPVs sold every month, nope.
