    Comments Thread For: Truax: The Fights DeGale Kept Talking About - Now They Are Mine!

    The 31-year-old James DeGale was making the fourth defence of his title but the home crowd at London's Copper Box were left disappointed following a bruising majority decision defeat for the former Olympic champion.

    Fair play to truax he wanted more than degale did in every department

    Degale should think about retirement .

    He's obviously talented but his attitude is wank

      Basically Truax says he followed the Porky blueprint. Degale doesn't like pressure and he doesn't like to fight at a fast pace... these weaknesses and his apparently iffy stamina have been highlighted time and again yet Degale has apparently done little or nothing to try to remedy them. Talented? Sure. That only takes you so far though.

        I had liked DeGale's changed attitude in his last fights when he went to war against his real nature, however the latter prevailed last night. He believed he'd win just by throwing three/four punches per round, and that's the result: a disaster for him. Doubt he'll be back to the level he was at before fighting Truax.

          Degale is a clown! All the ability in the world but barely throws any jabs at all and just sits on the ropes the whole time, reminds me of what he was like when he fought on channel 5 all the time!

            You know...This was good in a way but bad at the same time, good because Truax joins a few groups of Americans to whoop a Brit in the UK for a world title, he joins elites like Errol Spence Jr. Terence Crawford, Marvin Hagler and Joey Maxim ;

            bad in the fact that Truax is not really that good and will more than likely run back to the UK and sell his title to a Brit like Charles Martin who incidentally also held the IBF -- yes indeed it seems the IBF offices should be moved to the UK, after all its typically assigned to the lowest champion, However for now I rejoice in AMERICAN DOMINANCE.

              DeGale took a serious beating from Jack and it was always going to be difficult to come back from that

              He should retire as his speech is already affected and more beatings are almost inevitable

                    I remember Caleb for his loss to Jermain Taylor back in 2012. Taylor was so happy and emotional after that fight because Caleb knocked him and down, yet Jermain got up to pull out the rest of the fight. It proved to him that he could get hurt, knocked down AND get up to win after having been KO'd by Pavlik, Froch and Abraham within those past 4 years.
