Are you just pulling **** out of your ass? Thurman is a great fighter and so is Danny. Last I checked, Danny does have a better resume than Crawford, and Shawn porter is borderline elite also. If you honestly think Crawford has fought guys on the live of the top guys at 147 you are either bias or just racist.
Danny has 2 good wins and several gift decisions. He flat out lost to Herrera and was given generous cards against Judah, Lamont, etc. The Khan and Matthyse wins were good though
Thurman is an average fighter - Maybe B level. He has no power and moves okay, but he'll lose to TC and ES. His win against Porter was a coin flip and not much better against C level Danny...
TC is PFP #1 atm and the top 3 is rounded out by Loma and Rigo for me. Kovy right there too along with Canelo
What has Crawford ever done to make you think he will pressure Arum into making the fight??? Because he fought Postol? Because he is saying he wants to fight a retired school teacher next? Because he is saying Spence isn't Superman, but Bud still isn't saying he wants to fight Spence. Crawford is not a throwback. A throwback would have challenged Mikey Garcia after the whoopin' he put on Broner. Which was at least as good as any win Bud has. But no, he said he wanted to move up and fight Horn. The guy is crazy talented but he isn't out there trying to fight the top guys. And he never has been. I hope he changes and wants to fight the best too, but he hasn't yet and he still isn't now. He still isn't even saying he wants to fight Spence. A real throwback would be trying to fight Spence and Thurman. Or at the least Porter and Garcia. Spence would fight him in a heartbeat, but Crawford doesn't want any of that. Which is sad, because if he dared to be great, he would have as good as chance as anyone to beat Spence. Too bad, Spence has to fight Peterson, because Bud doesn't want any, Thurman, doesn't want any, Porter doesn't want any, Garcia doesn't want any.
Spence is the most avoided fighter of the last decade. He is in the most stacked division in boxing by far, and none, not one, of the top dogs will get in the ring with him. It is sad.
Nah man let Crawford fight the Hornet first. It's unfair to expect him to just move up and fight Spence immediately.
Let him fight Hornet as a 147 tune up. As far as tune ups go, Hornet is a pretty good fight, and he's big too so it allows Crawford to learn to adjust to the size of these huge welterweights.
It also helps him get a belt around his waist. Let's face it, unifications always make a fight that much bigger and creates more hype for the fight.
Once Crawford has that belt he has to unify with either Thurman or Spence. These guys aint getting any younger. Crawford is already 30, Thurman is 29, and Spence is 27.
I didn't see anything Spence did to break down Brook, more Brook break down on his own.
So in other words, you were watching with your eyes closed and didn't see any of those left hand leads to the body?
You also didn't see Brook get discouraged from attacking Spence's own body because Spence would counter with an overhead left to the temple every time Brook tried to throw a straight right to the body?
I say, watching with your eyes closed aint a smart move my man.
You're smoking crack. Thurman is a better overall boxer compared to Thurman. The only think Spence does better is cut off the ring and use the jab. Spence does nothing else better. And explain to me how a guy who started at 135 has a better chance than a guy who is technically a 154 pounder, has great punching power, a good chin, much quicker, great counter puncher, and pretty good defense? Boxing scene be on some ****.
What does it matter where a guy started? Ali started as a light heavyweight...whats your point?
You act like you know the sport, how can you not know the basics of fighters growing from the point of their careers, especially early on, to another?
Plus, I never said Thurman isn't a better boxer than Spence, I just don't think he is good enough to keep him off him.
Anyway, if Haymon actually decides to start promoting, we should be able to see for ourselves.
Even if he schools Horn, that doesn't mean that it's going to be easy against guys like Thurman, Spence, Porter, and Danny. All four of these guys would beat Horn right now.
I'm speaking in terms of being able to negate Horn's strong-arm tactics with power of his own. It's a nice entry-level test with this kind of fighter.
Seen Crawford rocked and buzzed by lesser fighters only to come back and take a victory in the ring. He is a BA fighter no doubt But I don’t think Bud could ever overcome Errol Spence getting the better of him once the ball starts rolling. Moving up to fight opponents closer to his (actual) own size is going to be a real eye opening experience for TC.
