This may be the real deciding factor here. Rigo is 37. Past prime. No doubt in my mind. Question is, how far past it. 3. Activity, or lack thereof. Lomo has been far more active. We’ve seen what that can mean before.

There are other factors that can be mentioned in Guillermo’s favor — punching power, for instance — but even that remains to be seen at this weight. In the end, I’m with you. I can’t see a path to victory for “El Chacal.” Then again, I thought Donaire would win their fight. Lol There’s always hope.
I was sure he'd beat Donaire. I thought Donaire's win steak was a little over rated by many. I figured Rigo would capitalize on the mistakes Donaire made that others couldn't.

Yeah, I subscribe to the big man/little man theory as well.

Someone posted a video of JCC and a couple of Mexican analysts making their picks. The vote was split, with JCC picking Lomo, but no one seemed especially adamant. These kind of fights are hard to pick. A lot of experts will be proven wrong, regardless of whoever comes out on top Saturday.

        Rigo's feet, another level

Rigo won't make the mistake of stand still, easy target like Walters made, Loma won't see what's coming!!

Rigo has that power, loma isnt that much bigger than rigo, maybe a ten pound difference and eigo fought bigger guys like nonito and marroquin who walks around at 150.

Loma is not a power puncher, if there is a ko its rigomdeaux, both fighters deserve full credit none of this bull about size.

Rigo knocks out giant japanese all the time.

          May the best man win

Kinda nice to have a fight like that instead of the usual fights where you know who is going to win.

They wanted to pay Rigo pennies back then. Glad he didn't take that fight. U wouldn't of either. lol.

It will come down to one thing - Skills. Rigo has a reach advantage over Lom and has fought taller guys than Lom and since this is not a fight where there is a lot of fighting from the ropes and leaning, the weight isnt going to play a factor simply based on their styles. If Rigo had been taking punishment and slipping lately I would say age would be a factor but Rigo hasnt slipped and his reflexes are great. Split decision or draw is my pick. Too hard for me to see a clear winner. I keep seeing two scenarios, one where Lom is timed perfectly by Rigo's counter left and Lom misses more than usual and loses by being one step behind, or Lom's activity rate and Rigo's lack of activity at times working to Lom's advantage. I wouldnt bet with someone else's money, either way.

Walters has more power than Rigo. Loma made him look like a fool.
Walters didn't throw any punches. Rigondeaux ain't just gon sit there like Walters did....
