Maybe he’s just talking shit. But I’ve heard shit talk before, and this sounded like he literally knew something we don’t.

On a side note, I looked up some of Rigo’s previous fights last night. I knew a few of his past opponents were taller than Lomo, but wasn’t sure by how much. (Bear in mind, Vasyl is listed at 5’6”.) Flores 5’9”, Amagasa 5’10.5”, Marroquin 5’8”, Cordoba 5’8”. I’m sure at least some of these men rehydrated to a weight that far exceeded Rigo’s on fight night. Now, granted, no one named comes close to the quality of Vasyl Lomachenko, but it is food for thought.
Really good post. Maybe I am not looking close enough at the reach advantage Rigo will have or his experience with bigger men.

I just can't see a path to victory for Rigo, and not because he isn't great. Frankly, I think Loma will beat everyone he is bigger than given his immense skill set. Its gonna take a Mikey or Crawford to beat him.

Depends. I’m willing to put money on it. At 4-1? Maybe $250. I probably wouldn’t too much higher than that, as anything can happen. It’s a balance of risk and reward.

I’ve picked Lomachenko by decision. There are three factors for this: 1. He’s the bigger man (although Rigo has longer reach). The old adage is, “a good big man will always beat a good little man.” I subscribe to that. And although Vasyl isn’t that much bigger, it is an advantage between two highly skilled men. 2. Age. This may be the real deciding factor here. Rigo is 37. Past prime. No doubt in my mind. Question is, how far past it. 3. Activity, or lack thereof. Lomo has been far more active. We’ve seen what that can mean before.

There are other factors that can be mentioned in Guillermo’s favor — punching power, for instance — but even that remains to be seen at this weight. In the end, I’m with you. I can’t see a path to victory for “El Chacal.” Then again, I thought Donaire would win their fight. Lol There’s always hope.

Loma wants no parts of Garcia and Crawford. He's not going up to the welterweight divisions.

                    Cuban fire cracker!

We all know Loma fights petal to the metal, Arum loves this type of style but what we & Arum don't know is how far off will Loma take his foot off the petal once he gets cracked, over and over from Rigo and believe this, once Loma stops pressuring from being concussed, it's fat lady singing time and put out the cigar Bobby!!
